    Wow… back around ‘00 I had an extra 17” monitor (big deal back then) & a couple sticks of RAM (I think 64 or 128MB total); well, a friend tried to trade me something like $40 + a shoebox FULL of Pokémon cards, including 2 Charizard (I don’t know the specifics but the one everyone was always hyped about)…
    Being the smart, young entrepreneur I was, I took a hard pass on his proposition, since Pokémon was a stupid kids’ show, whereas I was a sophisticated middle-schooler & hardcore DBZ fan collecting DBZ ‘anti-mayhem’ cards! I think I eventually sold my used computer stuff for $100 or so.
    Still stings to wonder what I passed on. Almost as much as passing up ~$33 Bitcoin around 2012-2013 believing it to be a small internet novelty, and my skepticism reinforced mid-2013 when hearing price had dropped from $150+ down to $60-70. Bullet dodged! Little did I know considering my passing on & forgetting about BTC was dodging a financial bullet, basically equates to me trying to ‘duck & cover’ to stop a financial atom bomb!
    Yeah, so anyone looking for a proven track record of solid financial/investment advice, I’m willing to share my financial moves & investment opinions (which over ~2 decades have proven to be about 180° from the profitable decision)!

Everything else is pennies and nickels. People are dumb for thinking this could make you money. Idk about any of these side hustles. The facts that you are buying collections, yet using ebay as a price guide instead of tcgplayer, shows the research you've done on this one.

    • @hybridcheef110
      @hybridcheef110 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      TCGplayer is just as bad as fucking eBay what are you talking about you're supposed to look at the sold listings on eBay that gives you a good idea. That shows you what they're exactly selling for

    • @curlyq5144
      @curlyq5144 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hybridcheef110 You must be apart of the Logan Paul community and not actually know the market. eBay prices are inflated on purpose especially since you are paying more in fees. 99% of videos you watch of legitimate pack openings, are using tcgplayer near mints as price guides. When people are selling in any local group for Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, they sell by 90% tcg lowest. Damn near every group. Idk where your facts came from.

    • @curlyq5144
      @curlyq5144 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, a huge red flag in these price searches? Not a single condition on any of them. There's a significant price difference between damaged, heavily played, and near mint for a lot of older cards.

    I know lots of people are calling bs on this, but it CAN happen. I bought a small collection off a local guy for about $125 about 2 years ago. It was mostly base set, jungle and fossil holos with a few gym challenge and neo genesis sprinkled in. The best card was a shining gyarados. It had a small crease, but I still sold it for around $120. Profited about $300 on the collection as a whole.
    So yeah, this may be scripted, but sometimes it really happens.

    You have to consider card condition aswell when pricing. This is why i have people bringing me their crusty cards telling me they should be mint still 😂

    Bro you should do a mystery pack where you sell, say, 10 cards, and put 1 that's decent. Will profit and get rid of crap cards.

    I’ll be honest, you can make a good deal of money from those“whole bunch of nothings” and I’ll tell you why
    A lot of collectors who are just starting out and who cannot afford to buy a whole booster box or multiple boosters packs for that matter tend to buy individual cards.
