Wish I had the time and space for a hybrid wolf/dog like your beautiful/handsome dogs! They are so happy n content due to your hard work n training. Love the background music too! Aloha n mahalo, YWilson
I live in Colorado also. Had a wolf dog (actually 3/4 wolf) in the condo next to me for a couple years-he was a love, but he liked to stand on the table in his patio and stare at my cats (who liked to sit by the glass door to my patio and stare back for some reason). I’m pretty sure if they got out he’d have gone full wolf. LOL.
@@dhand34 : Well, we better not tell Der Keef about Silas and friends: chances are Mr. "Happy" would prefer riffing with these charismatic two over that certain Jumpin' Jack Flash whom Keith testily calls "Her Majesty."
Thank you for this! I'm interested in how you train. How would your wolf dogs handle an attack by another dog, and what would you want them to do so their own disposition doesn't get ruined? How do _you_ deescalate an attack? My mobility service dog and I keep getting attacked by aggressive loose dogs. Bad attacks - I need oral surgery because of one. My neighborhood isn't getting better, and my dog still needs frequent walks. I can't function without his help and need to find the best way to protect him. Have you made any videos about handling aggressive dogs or explosive encounters? I looked through but got sidetracked because you have lots of interesting content. 🙂
Ohh good question. With mine when we run up to somebody with a lose dog, they usually pick them up quick. Silas here is friendly with people but like most wolfdogs, he doesnt like strange dogs. Usually though if an offleash dog comes up they turn around, when they realize what they are up against. Luna will start showing her teeth and snapping at the air. I deescalate by trying to pull them out of the situation if possible and redirect them to look at me and give a treat.
@@dhand34 Thank you! I will keep practicing the looking at me for a reward. That's how we reinforce ignoring other dogs in stores, but it's harder outdoors. I'll look for safe situations to practice that. I'll bet people pick up their dogs *really* fast when they realize they're harassing ing a wolf-dog. 😅
Such beautiful dogs I hate seeing dogs like that in the city because they need state parks and trails to walk around my friend has one that's 80% in a condo I noticed the dog looked depressed so begged his dad to take him back so next month he's coming to get him so he'll have enough land to walk around in WV
I love your videos when you take them for trail walks around people. Being 60% wolf, they must be conflicted with the natural wolf instinct of avoiding people vs the domesticated dog instinct to seek people out. I guess the socializing mellows them out. I noticed their body language is extremely submissive with their tail between their legs and ears pinned back. Do you think that's because people are more dominant when they're standing? In other videos I've watched when people kneel down and allow the wolfdogs to lick their faces first and don't pull away the wolfdogs get really excited and "seem" to accept the people more quickly. It seems like they appreciate a human at their same level
Have they come to figure out which is it, dogs descend from gray wolfs, timber wolves? Or what have you, or the extinct dire wolves, or were dire wolves even related to modern day wolves? I'm confused. Would be nice to know though! Wish!

Do you think I could have some breeders names? I’ve been wanting a wolfdog for a while, I’ve grown up around them and known plenty of friends with them. Id be getting a low- close to mid wolfdog. It’ll be a few years before I’m about to get one, do to cost and I’ll be moving before then
I love how they greet new people! My kangal does that too, soo cute!
Absolutely beautiful animals. Respect from London UK 🐺

That's so awesome bringing them out to meet and interact with people, and more importantly to educate them on wolf dogs. Well done!

Beautiful wolfdogs. I like how my Tamaskan with 14% wolf looks very similar to your dogs, but have a lot more dog traits. Awesome.

Yeah having an upper mid content in a condo is cruel and irresponsible. That’s one thing I’m trying to prevent with this channel.

Yeah they act submissive because it’s good manners to them
fantastic !
Sailus seemd quite submissive with strangers with that cute tugged tail, while Luna didn't really care.
Luna is the queen.
The peasants are to offer their hand to allow her majesty to sniff. If she approves then they can scratch her under the chin.

If a wolfdog is 25% German Shepherd and 75% captive raised wolf, will he make a good guard dog?
No because wolves are generally scared of people and will retreat if they fill threatened by them.

What kind of Wolves do you have
They are all grey wolves mixed with some dog
Nice Video , but the music doesnt fit🤔😊
Sorry for that
The friendlieness towards humans stems from the dog heritage?
Not necessarily. Ive seen wolfdogs in the 98% range be extremely friendly
In my opinion this is antisocial training as much as social training beautiful animals you have.
