I had two times that characther completely represents the people that plays him, and it's Draven mains and Invoker mains, being one of the most insufferable people on the planet, but almost always playing like they were born with a mouse and keyboard stuck to their hands. It's like they make it their job to ruin fun for all the people involved except themselves.
But, as a plus, ganking both of those 3-4 times can make them mald and go afk, so there's that.

She didn't dodge the damage though lol, you can literally see her get hit. She just has hexdrinker which reduced the damage and tanked some with the shield.
@@felipe1924 That's incorrect, thresh lanterns only give you a dashing effect similar to Lucian E, Pyke E etc. The only thing they do is allow you to dodge skillshots but they block no damage.

I'm honestly impressed how you managed to master Hwei this fast, feels like playing 3 Aphelios' at the same time.
As an Aphelios main that will FOR SURE play Hwei when he comes out, I think players misunderstand both of them. They both aren't naturally hard in the sense that their abilities do weird shit such as old aurelion or azir, they have basic abilities, they just have conditions for them. Tbh I find a loot of adcs much harder than him, but hey maybe it's just me, so my theory is that Hwei wont be as hard as people think
I don't think he or Aph feel hard to play, you just need to understand what their abilities do but after that barrier, none of their abilities are very hard to use.

Hwei's abilities are all really basic, he just has more of them. People compare him to Invoker but Invoker not only has a ton of spells they're also all very different and require specific combos to actually work well. 90% of the time with Hwei you're just going to rift-shield-claw in teamfights, his abilities all have a pretty distinct and obvious purpose and don't really require any situational awareness outside of the lightning bolt.
6:15 Hextech Alternators damage is considered ability damage, that's why it procs comet and passive. These items also applies ability damage: Galeforce, Everfrost, Goredrinker, Protobelt, Jak Sho, Redemption, Stridebreaker and Ironspike Whip (Most of them are getting deleted tho or changed to not deal damage like in Jak Shos case).
I love you for this comment, thankyou. I usually rush alternator on champs like vex to improve my poke in laning phase. But this seems really pivotal for hwei's dps in the earlygame for easy passive proc.

First time watching, but great quality gameplay and just explanations of whats happening. Im always so amazed how people explan what their doing so calmly in a high entensity gameplay like lol
The way they made literally every spell on this champ have scenarios where you would use them over any of the other spells it really impressive. every q, w, and e has their uses in team fights or in lane.
EW provides vision in bushes, in situations like at 27:00 the snare gives great zone control, it’s also much easier to chain off of an ult for a free QW
The number of passive aggressive comments, talking about you communicating your thoughts and likes/dislikes while testing out new build paths is wild.

You don't need it anymore. They removed it because TFT players, who don't or rarely play any league, couldn't get on PBE to test out new TFT sets.

Hey Pekin! I am not on the PBE server so I cannot test this myself, but is there an option to change the "modulation key" of your painting modes as Hwei? What i mean is this: I want to swap WE and WQ spells, because I like it more that your movement bonus is on "utility+cc" and your 'nami passive' is on "damage+utility".
i think it would be just easier to think of the spells that way.
qq = "damage/damage", qw = "damage/utility (slow)", qe = "damage/cc (bc immo/iso dmg)", ww is "util/util" as a shield, eq is damage and fear, ew is vision+root "util/cc", ee is a fast cc
its just those two spells that are turned around

EW vs fartbrothers is very very good. Yasuo dashes around a lot and so does yone but the eye blocked them a lot if u use it in the middle of the wave

Wouldn't Malignance be a better item for Hwei than Caster's Companion? It gives him more ability haste on his ult and the passive synergizes well too
Even with Malignance the Ult cooldown is huge, it's better to have Caster's Companion that can apply on basic abilities and offers a lot more pressure in neutral. The ult is pretty unreliable sometimes and it's better to have the constant pressure from Caster's first.

do you think hwei is going to be picked/banned much when he goes live? because i really want to play him but if he gets picked/banned too much i can never really play him myself and i would rather learn another champion then.
The snare lasting so long would make such a great zoning tool. So often seen you going for a lightning when you could drop a snare in their escape route instead around the choke points in jungle, like Zoe sleep bubble puddles. Though I've had a hard time telling if their range is the same from the videos.
EW (snare) range is MUCH less than the lightning (QW). Lightning is for catching 1hp people trying to run away, snare is only typically useful to zone people from running towards you (ie if you want to cut off their escape points, you have to be flanking)
@@gregoryzelevinsky9837 that makes a lot of sense. I haven't touched the PBE yet but was basing my sense of the range off the initial release article. It felt like it would've been much larger range than it actually is.

I think you still don’t quite get how the qw extra damage works. So it applies when the target is either immobilized or isolated. However, the ammount of extra damage is based on the missing hp and the rank of your q. Level 1 it does up to double dmg and level 5 it does up to triple damage. But if the target is ar full hp, the ”extra damage” is 0%. So even if the target is isolated, if they’re full hp you don’t deal any extra damage what so ever.
For example at 12:30 you tried landing it on Yasuo and said he was isolated. But he was also 100% hp, so it would’ve done just the normal damage.
Yeah because my Q has a low CD and I did not feel my QQ nor QE would land (Yasuo looked far). I'm looking for any amount of poke possible even if small.
I feel like on Hwei you should always build Cosmic drive and play him as a battle mage similar to viktor with Q movespeed

Can you actually proc your passive twice with WE Auto + Q Spell then waiting for passive to proc and doing Auto + E ability? In theory you should have enough WE charges for that and passive doesn't rly have cooldown.

Hey I have a serious question for you Pekinwoof if you would reply back. Since you been playing league for a long time and for hours everyday, do you have any pain anywhere in your body like your neck or back or forearms or wrist or shoulders?
My mouse hand sometimes has issues. Like 5 to 6 years ago I had some numbness in my fingers at the very tip. The thing that I actually removed it was no longer sleeping on my right shoulder. I would sleep on the side and I believe pinch a nerve in my shoulder. Nowadays it's more like discomfort almost like a slight ache on my pointer and ring finger but it's not so much that it hinders me too much

@Unknown-ul6ge if Q is on cooldown. I said it's a 2nd option. W by itself can be damage. Either Q or E is on cooldown, or you save them in your back pocket.

Horizon focus was probably definitely way better than Rylai's, it gives 20 haste too which is massive, but I get you were experimenting, I think new Liandrys is good too
