*Rough Description* Beerus is an ideal target for combos made up of sequences like whiffed Vanish, j.H-5L links, etc. #1 (00:02) - I came up with the structure of this combo in S2 after my second Bardock video. Back then EX moves cost a bar, so it wasn’t able to kill with Lv.3 at the end, but S3 improved that and this became a 100% combo. Most of the core concepts in the rest of the videos are shown in this combo, so I think it’s appropriate to make it the first. #2 (00:32) - The super jump air dash after 5LL allow Bardock to land closer to the dummy after delaying the ki blast, enabling a cross-under afterwards. This also means that it would only work on characters with a larger lower hurtbox during juggle state, otherwise the delayed ki blast would whiff. Super jump backwards and then air dash to prevent Bardock from crossing over to the opposite side. #3 (00:47) - Same starting segment as #2 except that the super jump air dash was performed by jumping forward, resulting in Bardock crossing over. Direction is then reverted thanks to properties of air auto combo. After the whiffed Vanish, 5LL into a regular IAD and then slightly delay dj.M before landing to give you a larger window to re-jump. Dash re-jump for forward momentum, which would allow Bardock to switch sides after the j.2H launch, with SD slightly delayed. #4 (01:05) - j.H-5L link from 5H, which also spent smash. This allowed a side switch in the air after j.2H (in contrast to the easy way of j.M > j.L and then dj.L), but the timing can be quite tight; Bardock could easily get sent to the opposite direction after dj.LL if he has yet to fully cross-under the target. #5 (01:26) - The initial sequence of 2M>5M>j.M>dj.S>dj.236M allowed the first whiffed Vanish to be auto-timed. The rest of the combo incorporated some of the other ideas. #6 (01:46) - See #5 and #4. #7 (02:05) - Due to how deep the hitbox of Bardock’s j.L is, by connecting j.H with Bardock lower than the dummy, you can jump cancel that into dj.L in sparking. If j.H was low enough (imagine the separation required for j.H-5L links), you’d be able to get dj.H as low and combo that into dj.214H for a whiffed Vanish. #8 (02:28) - 5MMM was used at the beginning to create the wall bounce, which put Beerus to behind Bardock, thus allowing you to keep the corner after the empty Vanish. #9 (02:51) - The starting part works on really tall characters. Because Bardock’s 5M gives him forward momentum, it is highly likely that you would end up on the other side after air dash cancelling the first j.H and whiff the second one. I started from a specific location to use the corner to prevent this. #10 (03:14) - Dramatic finish on Frieza.
@@EX-Flashkick His hurtbox in the air is lower and wider than most others, making him one of the best targets for j.H-5L links, which require you to connect the very top of j.H on the very bottom of their hurtbox (so the lower their hurtbox is, the higher they can be in the air -> the more time they would take to fall -> the more room for mistake). He is also one of the 15 characters that Vanish-whiff can be used against.
Off topic, but I just love how Bardock’s 236 S feels. That gut punch has so much weight behind it , everytime i catch someone slipping with it i let out an audible “DAMN”.
Cooler and Frieza didn't stand a chance - no escape!! Amazing job as always Dude, I see Bardock on almost every team, but you still make it look so damn exciting and fresh!! Praying for some delicious Nappa action soon!
The fun part about it is the fact that you will nearly never land those combos online due to the complexity coupled with the lattency and the opponent rage quiting midway
Its just the latency. Local play you can do disgusting things like this if the opportunity presents itself. Probably not something you'd fish for though. As soon as that 6L/M juggles you can land the 5H and do as you please, the opponent is completely at your mercy with no options until your combo is over. Its probably why online is more fun, it only takes a few frames to mess up just about anything in a big combo, giving your opponent a chance to react, with the same hinderence.
If you dislike this you’re automatically a hater lol this is gold ! Keep up the good work. I know this took a lot of time to put together and appreciate all your content , definitely helped me grow a lot.
Hey idk if you still look back your old videos for comments but at 2:05 how did you medium medium heavy then did it again with out it dropping I when into practice mode and tried it and only did it once every time I try I just drop the combo I got the first part down with the sparking and stuff but that's it once I get in the air idk how to the it twice
I learned them initially because they can be used on both consoles and PCs. I don't think they necessarily have any advantage over pads or keyboards, but I think pads can be stressful to my thumbs and I play KOF on a keyboard still.
@@whYLiE09 see what Xiao does at 0:51 friend? That vanish looks like an offensive option to me. I think Xiao sells himself a little short, i think he'd certainly be better than average with a little time, but he wouldnt get to use alot of these combos online, the netcode just wouldnt allow it. I also think Xiao really enjoys labbing like this more than anything, and with content like his, who are we to argue?
Hey Xiao, great video as usual. I’ve been struggling with finding cool stuff to do in a combo that starts with 5M> jS(Videl B)> 214H(no smash hit)> 5H (this sequence works on everyone standing except for big bodies, which need to crouch). The thing is, the dummy stays standing until the 5H, and because Videl is on the other side, the dummy’s movement is weird. I’ve been thinking about doing this with sparking, but I can’t confirm IAD> jM after the 5H. Got any ideas? I think this has potential.
So does Videl body-block them from flying away freely after 5H smash? Maybe you can start with your back against the corner to minimize your separation from the dummy after 5H
I can barely guard cancel and rejumps are never going happen while this guys brain is exploding on his controller. I love it but lowkey hate it too, awesome video but I hope your square button stops working.
These comboes hurt but they also seem quite meter intensive and very finicky. Also, you're almost throwing yourself all over the screen with your opponent so anybody doing this has to be sure they can remember their position.
This game caters to protagonists too much for their dramatic finish. The creators can’t accept an antagonist gets a dramatic finish so they make sure there’s an alternative dramatic finish for the protagonist. See Frieza vs Bardock in Space or Yamcha vs Nappa in Rocky Fields. It’s unfair for players to get the bad end of the bargain if they enjoy playing as villains.
Bruh talk about unnecessary ass moves 😂 I have yet to see anyone really pull this off in a tourney 😂 omg if all the pro players go to this extent I will be very well impressed.
Because combos dont mean anything if you can't win neutral so pro players usually focus on learning really good fundamentals and spacing techs. You can see tods sometimes but they usually whip em out to flex more than to play competitively

The day a bardock player hits me with any of these i would officially quit fighterz.
He'd either be GO1 or a pro player to do this in ranked.
