FOUR players at my local chess club run the Caro-Kann and your novel attack has been crushing them! Fun Fact: In his 2020 book The Caro-Kann Revisited, Italian GM Francesco Rambaldi says of the line 1.e4 c6 2.d5 d5 3.e5 c5 4.dxc5 e6 5.Qg4 h5 6.Qf4 Bxc5: "7.Nf3?! is imprecise, as Black can play 7._Qb6!N hitting the unprotected f2-pawn and forcing White to lose an important tempo defending it." (page 96). He completely misses your idea of not defending the pawn and keeping up the pressure. Thank you for the brilliant ideas!
It's like you got into my mind. You can't believe how badly I needed this. I am constantly finding trouble beating this opening, now I can play something other than the Fantasy. Plus, I have an open tournament next week. Thanks so much, Mio, may God bless your hands and your family!
Nice! this variation grew up in popularity for black point of view. I really enjoy playing the advance variations. I hope very soon Miodrag that you make a video with 3..Bf5 and specially with h4 the caveman variations!!
I was learning some of those variations and I were always failing in some parts where I had no idea what to play after pretty natural black move. Thank you for lightening me this up. It's nice to see people explaining things this good and efficient. Maybe you'll make a study against Delayed Alapin? I never knew how to play against it and like I said you're explaining great.
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial The BGG transposition 1 e4 c6 2 d4 d5 3 Nc3 dxe4 4 Bc4. If 4...Nf6 5 f3 exf3 6 Nxf3 and weak players don't play the natural winning developing move 6...Bf5 planning ..Bg6, so it is popular.
Thank you for sharing your insights on this variation. Unfortunately the position at the 12:19 mark is bad for white as black equalizes after 18. Rad1 with d4!! as the tactics favor black. The best I could find is 19. Bf2 but then Qd5 is equal. I hate playing against this Botvinnik-Carls and want to see it crushed, but some improvement needs to be found for the line at the 12:19 mark. I think the culprit is 13. Qh5 which seems to fritter away most of white's advantage. Both Nd2 and 0-0 seem to keep a solid plus. Even 13. Qe2 seems bad so perhaps it's best not to commit the queen too early.
You won't believe me but this video is what makes me switch my french defence back to the caro kann. I thought 4.Nc6(which is the only fun way to play the advanced caro) is refuted with c3, but the fact that white NEEDS 1 hour of pure theory to get a PLAYABLE position is enough for me. Black also has so many good chances and white can go wrong and lose both pawns so many times.
Against 4..Nc6 I'm surprised that you didn't recommend the trappy but positionally-sound 5.Nf3 :D I've had many instant wins after 4..Nc6 5.Nf3 Bg4?! 6.c3 Nxe5?? 7.Nxe5 Bxd1 8.Bb5+ and 4..Nc6 5.Nf3 Bg4?! 6.c3 e6 7.Be3 Nxe5 8.Qa4+
Thanks for the trick, but I gotta give objectively top lines or the ones I like a lot and find strong or entertaining, not the ones that are based on tricks! 😉
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficialThat's what I like about your videos they don't rely on bad play by your opponent. There's plenty enough tricks on other channels but they spread fast and pretty soon they get shown up leaving the trickster dismayed and in a worse spot.

Just watch the channel and you will learn many new things 😉

Great lecture, Mio. I enjoy playing both sides of this . The Qg4 line is going to confuse most players under 2200.
I won all my games with it!
@@BeFourCM no it was vs Naroditsky and i covered that game in the video!
Thank you so much! I've be sufferering against the ...c5 variation. Just what I needed.

Hey Mio, thanks for all the content. Another fun line you might enjoy against the Caro is the Von Henning gambit. Cheers man!
What’s that buddy?

Glad to meet you 😊
I play 3…c5 so expect to see you recommendations a lot this week during my online games 😱

You are simply good Mio
Simply 🙏
As a Cato-Kann player, this is my least favorite line to face. You basically lose the whole point, an unfettered QB. Thanks Mio!

Let me check that and get back to you, tbh, I don’t know about which line you talk about
lets crush the caro kann clowns

5:07 this move is a blunder...
What do you think about e4 c6 d4 d5 f3 c5 in the caro kann looks like a albin down a tempo with f3 is awkward
Hii can u plz make the same from black side or suggest some course where black plays c5
puedes recomendar alguna variante contra la Nizo de blancas
