Glass Buttes Obsidian in Central Oregon, Jeep Gladiator Overland Adventure

Glass Butte(s), there is a Little Glass Butte too, in Central Oregon are the sole source of Obsidian in four states. Found as far south as Northern California, Washington, Idaho, and Nevada if you find an arrowhead it probably was carried there by humans from this site.
It can be found anywhere on the mountain and surrounding area and there seems to be no restriction on collectors. Jet black, rainbow and Mahogony types are found everywhere. Fun place for off-roading, off grid remote camping and exploring.

😆😆 yeah that road was on public land and clearly continued on the other side and that was a gate at one time but someone decided on their own to just block it off 😐. It was fun hanging out with you at expo, Everyone behind me can see your sticker too! Cheers!
