Great post Joe, I’m going for Bivol too. I think he has the tools to deal with beterbiev plus as you say, the age difference comes into the equation. He can bang but I think his hand speed isn’t great and I have a feeling Bivol’s defence will get the better of both. If beterbiev lands flush then that will be interesting.
Great breakdown Joe, one of your best for me. The only thing I would add is that even though Bivol has the skills, it's easy to overlook that Beterbiev does too. Just because he doesn't fight on the back foot, he is arguably as skilful but just has the punch too so is more aggressive. Should be a great fight this one.
Exactly right. He has KOd everyone because he has outboxed them. They didnt walk onto his best shots. They couldnt avoid them and Betrbiev manoeuvred them into position.
I think Bivol will be up on the cards at the half way point and then its can he manage the fight as he tires late on. I think he will personally. I cant see him falling apart and getting stopped but I could be completely wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time!
Bivol has been hunting Beterbiev for years imo. He's one of the very few opponents of Beterbiev that isn't afraid of him. He actually wants the fight. It's a great fight, 50/50 but right now i fancy Bivol. Loving the moody interviews this week, alot of personality with both of these fighters, you can see they are serious people
Ok… Not to just sound like everyone else but…I genuinely DO keep changing my opinion on this fight 🤦🏻♂️ And….. I’m settling on BIVOL by points and I’m NOT ruling out a late stoppage either. Here’s why…. We KNOW Artur starts kinda slowly We KNOW Bivol gets to work early and just gathers momentum and pace as he gets more and more ACCURATE with his punch placement People are rightfully worried for Dimitry getting caught with Arturs powerful punches but… I just think that Artur USUALLY pushes forwards and his opponents struggle being pushed back and pinned against the ropes But Dimitri wont BE pushed back He will be TRAVELLING back I believe whatever way Artur pushes Dimitri, he will just GO that way using his feet WHILST keeping Artur within his brilliantly gauged punch range I think he will frustrate the hell outta the older man. Wear him down. Pepper him and EVEN push for a late stoppage. We can expect an EXTREMELY focussed Dimitri and ghat focus will be all about keeping the correct RANGE. He will not let Artur dictate where he travels. He may even allow Artur to BELIEVE he is pushing him around while he peppers him and gives him angles ON THE MOVE I hope that makes as much sense as what it does in my head🥴 BIVOL decision or late stoppage
I think Artur will catch him in the later rounds, punching accuracy ii so high also on Artur. I don`t have the data to believe that Bivol can hurt Artur...he took punches from way more heavy hitters and didn`t even flinch.
Beterbiev for me mate. Bivols movement and speed will definitely cause him trouble but beterbiev has great conditioning and he will relentlessly pressure him, might be 5-3 bivol after 8 and then in the 9th I think beterbiev takes over hurts and drops bivol. Bivol to survive but beterbiev to dominate late. Narrow but deserves points win for beterbiev! Bivol is the man to take him the distance but not beat him
For some reason a voice tells me Artur will win, maybe it's his 100% win/KO streak. But when I really think about it I just can't pick a winner, 2 exceptional fighters, undefeated, who rarely lose rounds, there's so many potential possibilities. Should be a good fight, I just hope the best man wins and we don't get any funny business going on.
I envision Beterbiev winning the fight early but getting stopped on cuts with Bivol targeting the scar tissue around Beterbiev's eyes. You wouldn't catch either of these two sniveling about a loss regardless of ped failures. Beterbiev damaged his meniscus. Not sure if a radial or lateral tear and that would make a difference as to recovery though with stem cell therapy he could recover fast.
I said bivol since they were on a collision course. He's has some lackluster performances and coasted e.g Richards,Arthur but I think he raises his game too the level of his opponent i was quiet mpressed with the zurdo performance. He will know not too sit back on the ropes unless beterbiev forces him too. Beterbiev can leave himself open too shots but he knows his power is superior similar too GGG in certain ways. I'd like too hear your thoughts on the Benevedis vs David morell fight
I will see how they look at the workouts. If Beterbiev has full use of his legs, Beterbiev for the win. Bivol should have been able to put Canelo out and he could not get it done. Bivol will struggle with the thudding of Beterbiev's punches. Beterbiev is a better boxer than given credit for. Bivol has never fought anyone LIKE Beterbiev, Canelo is a beast of a different colour and smaller, where as Beterbiev, well what can one say Joe.
@@peternagy-im4beyes very good. His counter punching is fantastic and the way he’s able to take a slight step back to slip punches and and then be back into range so quickly to land devastating uppercuts hooks straight punches body shots. His punch selection is fantastic, knows when to throw certain punches at the right time and he’s very accurate with them

@@11East yeah he’s going to tire more easily than his other fights, he will be moving more and throwing more punches just to try and keep beterbiev off him. He’s got great conditioning but I’d say it’s more tiring being the hunted than the hunter. Beterbiev is very smart with the way he cuts the ring off too. I can see bivol being ahead after 9 or 10 and then beterbiev dropping him and dominating in the late championship rounds with overwhelming pressure and spiteful accurate power punches. Reckon bivol will survive but beterbiev will do enough to win the decision with his late dominance

I cant wait!!!
Bivol talked about the Richards fight and said he struggled as he had a 1 yr + layoff and didn't perform well

Heart says Beterbiev, head says Bivol. Not that I dislike Bivol, by any means, but I'm a huge Beterbiev fan.

Beterbiev for me he's an underrated boxer with dynamite in his hands but I'm really looking forward to this fight

Some good observations there.. I really can't pick a winner myself, but you do make a compelling case for Bivol 👍
I can see that.
I have a feeling Beterbiev will roll the dice and try and get it finished inside three rounds!!

I wouldn't trust the judges to get it right. Always one corrupt or incompetent clown.
BETERBIEV KOs bivol 🥊🥊🥊

What does your gut say?
@@peternagy-im4be you.
50/50 fight but i think beterbiev at some stage will catch bivol im going for beterbiev TKO
If the knee injury returns then Bivol stops Beterbiev.
Otherwise I see Beterbiev winning. Points or KO but he will be too strong.

Beterbiev doesn't get cut, only on illegal shots via headbutts.

Yes, Beterbiev is one one with Usyk in the amateurs

Bivol was able to take Canelos punches so..
