I hope you folks have your federal reef permit and not just an SPL like most Julios do. It is illegal to take more than the recreational bag limit with just a saltwater products liscence. If you do have federal permits good for you but I highly doubt it since it costs about 50 k to get.
Florida has one of the best offshore fishing there is, but heavily fished, this is why these yellowtails are small! try C & R not catch and keep the future will be brighter!

Get up early and drive south to Punta DE San Fransiscito . What ever , it's a4 hr grooling drive. November and may and June %80 of the spawninig yellow Tail go through this PASS. you can catch 30 to 50 pounders all day long. Bring 50 plus gear and lot of iron. You will Knck em DEad
Eugene Wu No these fish in Mexico and Ca are Yelllow Tail. They in the Jack family. Yellow Fin are in the Tuna family. thee fish in this video are Yellow fin snapper family. Three different yellows and all are different in size shape taste and appearance.
That is not a great video, even if it's a commercial fishing!! Look at the size of the tuna , you can't keep it , your destroying the industry like this . Of course some azz hole will say its only a few !! Everything makes difference

I think you're talking about yellowtail tuna. The fish being caught here are yellowtail snapper.
