Hey folks!! So just a taste of Venice make sure you save some money for a gondola ride and you will have a much better time if you avoid going in the summer! I’d love to hear from those who have been and what you think of the city ??
Great video. I'm italian and I lived in Venice for three years. I also recommend to go out of crowded places and just walk and look around in peace, especially in Sestiere Castello o Sestiere Santa Croce, in little squares like San Giovanni in Bragora or San Giacomo dall'Orio, where there is the most authentic Venice!
I love Venice so much. On San Giorgio Maggiore, one should visit Le Stanze del Vetro, a wonderful gallery for contemporary glass art. I agree with Burano, a lovely island, but especially Torcello and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. There are so many beautiful churches in Venice, so I won't argue about Santa Maria Formosa, but would add Palladio's Il Redentore on Giudecca and Madonna dell'Orto in Canareggio. Rather than the Rialto Bridge, I'd suggest an early visit to the Rialto Market. And the greenhouse/café at Serra dei Giardini on the Via Giuseppe Garibaldi is well worth a visit. I know people complain that it's hot and crowded, but if you go in the spring or fall and go into the neighborhoods, it's not crowded at all (and the food is better - avoid any place with multi-lingual menus!).
Nice video. How did you manage to fly drone in Venice as it’s quite strict with local laws? Especially close to San Marco and square are forbidden for drone fly.
I noticed that your forgot to credit me for the footage from my video on Campo Santa Maria Formosa. I am sure you will correct this oversight promptly.
i recently went to venice my goodness what a ripp off everything was so expencive a cup of tea 12 pounds stirling entry to a toilet 8 pounds peice of cake from the bakers 15 pounds gondoliar ride 125 pounds no super markets only glamour boys charging you anything they like because there are no tesco or sainsburys what a terrable place and if you go on the gondoliars they call you english pigs then take your money oh besides there are hundred of pickpockets in venice once again charming looking men with thousand pound trousers and shi
Interesting video with good narration, however, I'd wish you had chosen not have that awful music running in the background, which added nothing and only interfered, or distracted from the true content. I could not get past one third of your presentation.
Been to Venice I'd never go again nor would I recommend it. There are nicer places to go with nicer people, better food, more comfortable hotels etc, etc. Venice is hugely overrated
