President Hinckley was such a great leader and prophet for the latter days. His message of the need for kindness throughout the world is so needed today with all the hate and contention that we see today among nations and peoples. Thank you for this reminder to all of the world.

Today is September 5, 2020. We have a virus and civil unrest, riots. People claiming racism leading to anger among races. It grieves our hearts, and President Hinkleys words should resonate within our souls. Every child of god is our brother and sister. Great wickedness is manifesting and we are pitting brother against brother. If we only lived these words (as a human family) these things would not be. It would all cease. But we live in a telestial world. Conflict will continue. But we as saints must live by these higher laws, regardless of the anger stirred up by man and media.

It’s like he’s talking directly to me, thank you President Hinckley for being a true Prophet of God!

He is spot on! And this talk was given 10-20 years ago, before social media even existed. There is so much vitriol, ugliness, bullying, anger, lack of tolerance, and mean words spoken online behind the cowardly mask of anonymity. This message is even MORE applicable today than when it was given.

As a Temple worker,I see a greater kindness in the Temple than that of the WORLD, Love for those that attend the Temple is beyond measure, and extended to every who walks through the door, regardless of them being a member or not! Recently we had a man enter the Temple who was visiting the area, he said is this the Temple, and the man at the desk said yes, he said great, I needed to stand in a Holy place, he then saw the picture of Jesus Christ on the wall he kissed his had and put his hand on the picture of Christ, and thanked us, and said goodbye! He was here visiting family and he was from Egypt!

This is so spot on. Yet, how many members would admit to voting for Trump? I’m currently an ex-member who at times misses the temple and President Hinckley.

I miss President Hinckley at times too. The temple (any I have ever visited and experienced) is a great blessing, and a place of great kindness. God bless you!

I’m with you on that one @Bro Dee! I didn’t grow up in Utah but my parents and family was from there so I spent my summers there. I was impressed on how neighborly and loving he was to my uncle, who wasn’t a member and wasn’t American. He had come to America to escape danger and spared his life. I think Utah was the first place he lived. Anyway, it’s where he met and married my dad’s sister. He was a most beloved uncle and added a-lot to our lives. President Hinckley and his sweet little wife took walks down East Capital Blvd and up the loop on the street bordering my family’s backyard. My uncle was kind and friendly and the Hinckley’s always walk over to my uncles front yard to say hi. They chatted a bit and shook our hands and you knew be was sincere because we felt it. He knew my cousins names and asked how each of them was doing. My uncle was not a member I never was baptized before he died. President Hinckley was a great example living what he preaches. And I to love this man, and have fond memories of his ministry in my life as well. He was happy and playful and kind and loved all people! This is a good talk to share with everybody now with all the crap that’s been going on the last couple of years we should all forward this to everyone we know members or not. Because it’s key to living a Christlike life and showing people we are followers of God the father and His son who sacrificed his life for us. To share what we are commanded to do by the laws of our country and around the world, but more importantly by Gods Laws. And always love, one to another. We are all His children.

Gracias Presidente Hinckley. Gracias

If you thumbs down you dont understand the need to be genuine in such things. Please have a heart and think of how much people could use the benefits of being happy and gaining more to give to people who dont have what you do! Please repent and live as if you could change a life in love!

I found the meanest kids didn't stay close to the gospel or the church as they grew up. Which is sad in itself, but the kids who received of the mean behavior likely only remember and associate those kids as examples of members of this church. Please don't judge the entire body by the loudest or most obnoxious parts, even though they draw the most attention.

Wow, this is wonderful and so true. We all need more love + kindness to spread around our neighbors ( the world). There's to much hate, + unkindness. If you cant say or do something nice, be quiet. We are here to build not destroy! And the amazing thing is it grows with in us, if we let it. But so does hate, be careful on which side you are on. Thank goodness for a loving God, and His wonderful Plan of Salvation, And for His only begotten son Jesus Christ.
