Just to be clear you can use these filters in conjunction with your normal lens hood when using the same sized filters for that lens. It’s just when you use a magnetic step up ring on a smaller filter diameter lens that you can’t 🙏📸 For more information or purchasing of this Kase KW Revolution Magnetic Professional ND Filter Kit: US: kaseoptics.com/collections/kw-revolution/KW-Revolution B&H: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=kase%20kw%20revolution&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ps Amazon: www.amazon.com/Kase-Wolverine-Revolution-Magnetic-Shockproof/dp/B0BQ88BL38/ref=sr_1_5?m=A117K1DEQYNJIS&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1681211778&refinements=p_4%3AKase&s=merchant-items&sr=1-5 Australia: www.kaseaustralia.com.au/kase-magnetic-filters/kase-revolution-series/ Europe: en.kasecn.com/tobuy.html
Thanks for including this info about the lens hood. It's not always easy to find this out and I've been burned by another filter manufacturer in the past because of it.
"Beautiful one day and perfect another..." Oh, what a great place to be and I am so envious! This is another great product review and I appreciated your statement that this kit may well be the only one you'll ever need. Adrian, I really appreciated this review as it's just a tad different enough to catch one's attention, hold it and provide the information one needs to make an informed decision as to whether to make the purchase or not. What I especially like(d) about your review and the filters shown is that they are "kitted together" which eliminates or at least minimizes the need for the photographer to go out and buy these filters separately. As always, great content and thank you again for your individualized answers to my past questions. Cheers, Paul Connors
Thanks for watching Paul. They are very good filters. Glad you enjoyed the review. Cheers and have a great weekend 🙏📸

Another great review Adrian, never heard of KASE but neat package and love the idea of different colours for each filter. Many thanks for sharing info and tips - have a great weekend :)
Great thorough review and what a pleasure to watch. The way you showcased the filters and the location was stunning. The colour coding is such a good idea.
This kit has many cool features, love the magnetic connection/ the case, colour coding etc, and the IQ with them is exceptional as well. Great review Adrian!
Hi Adrian, oh yes - "close to perfect" nails it, I totally agree with all the advantages you mentioned. This is why Kase filters have also got my number one filter system :) Really a great review video, buddy! By the way, in case you use a step-up-ring and you'd need a lens hood (for me often in woodland and waterfall photography), you could use the magnetic lens hood from Kase, which is also great to protect the lens from spray water, as it is big enough. Thank you for the video and enjoy using your new filters ;) Nice greetings, Christian
Thanks for watching Christian. Very impressed with these filters. I can see why you like them so much. I don't think you actually need a lens hood with the step up rings in all honesty. Like I mentioned, if I do get a stray bit of flare that I'm not happy with, I'll block it with my hand or bit of card I keep in my camera bag. Kase nailed the no colour cast and the clarity aspect of the filters which I think is the most important aspects above all else. Have a great weekend buddy, cheers 🙏📸
Thanks for watching John. I really enjoyed these filters on the trip away. The ICM video was a lot of fun to make. Looking forward to sharing that. Have a great weekend mate, cheers 🙏📸
Looks like a great product and I enjoyed your review! I love the idea of ICM photography at the beach, I've never thought of that. We are going to Vero Beach in Florida next month and I think I'll have to give that a try!
Great review my friend! Love that Kase set they have killed it with that magnetic feature it makes it so simple and quick to make any changes. I just think they are a bit pricey still. Just my opinion. Have a great week ahead. 📸🙏🏼
Thanks for watching my friend really appreciated. I guess you pay for the better and lasting quality these filters give. They are very hard to fault. I’ll certainly be using these from now on. Have a great week and take care 📸🙏
Thanks for watching. Looks like Kase sell GNDs separately from this kit. The GNDs come with magnetic adaptor rings but I dare say you’d be able to use the same magnetic adaptor ring already in this kit 👍📸
Great vid! Very helpful! Can you just clarify, to avoid vignetting when stacking filters, you would probably need to buy a filter size that is larger than your largest lens diameter and then buy step up rings for all your lenses? Are the step up rings magnetic? If so, does this mean you wouldn’t actually need either version of the magnetic adaptor and you can just stack filters directly on the step-up ring?
Thanks for watching. The step up rings are magnetic, so no need to combine with any other ring. Yes you can stack magneticly on step up rings. Re vignetting. It can be fixed in post very easily or you can simply zoom in a few mm on your lens. Cheers
If I haven’t already owned the Nisi 5 for my 14-24 f2.8 and the Nisi 7 for the other lenses I might have bought those. But since it was a huge investment you have the go with the flow. The big advantage I see is the compact portability.
I’ve got the circular polarizer and it is so easy to use. Because it’s magnetic and not lot a lot of faffing about I’m more inclined to actually make good use of it. No complaints at all. I even dropped the filter accidentally and had no issues. Much to my relief. I hummed and haaed about the ND set but just don’t do enough that would justify them.
Hi Adrian, nice review. I have a set of Kase magnetic filter similar to the one you have except it is not color coded (older version I guess). I think they are fantastic filters if not a bit pricy but, still worth the money. BTW, depending on the lens, you can install the lens hood with the filters, I usually attach the lens hood first, then screw on the adapter. You wont be able to remove the lens hood but you will have the protection that the lens hood provides. Have a great day and weekend!!
Thanks Leo for watching. You can do it that way with the lens hood, but depending on how deep your lens hood is, it can get very awkward putting on and taking off the filters. I found I didn't need a lens hood anyway, but I just thought I'd make people aware so no surprises. Have a great weekend cheers 🙏📸
@@adrianalfordphotography that is a valid point, you will need your wife or child with tiny fingers to install or remove the filters with the hood in place. LOL.
How do you find the inlaid adapter rings? I've heard they can be difficult to install and remove, and I'm wondering if they really eliminate vignetting on wider angle primes, like 20mm and 24mm.
I found the inlaid ring ok. A bit finicky to get in and out, but they supply you with a little tool to help remove from inside the lens. I just used the other adaptor ring. It was fine with just one filter.
@@adrianalfordphotography Thanks. How is the vignetting with the inlaid filters? I've tried the old Wolverine system and I got a lot of vignetting with the adapters. I know I could use a larger size, but I'd like to avoid that if I can get away with it.
I got no vignetting with the inlaid adaptor on my 14mm using one filter. With 2 filters stacked on inlaid adaptor @ 14mm I got a slight bit of vignetting, post processing can get rid of it pretty easily. If I were you I would try to hire or borrow these filters somehow first. Try before you buy. Best check them out (somehow) before parting with any cash.
Hi Thank you for the video. Has a question regarding stacking on a wide lens say 16mm. Noticed there vignetting. Is there still a vignetting issue if one uses the inlay megnatic filter adapter? Thanks
I bought and returned the old Kase magnetic filters that I had. It was vignetting so bad even at 24 mm. The widest that I shoot is 16 mm. Does this new filter still vignette at 16 mm?
Haha! Yeah it actually does look like the beach from that movie. I should have done my Charlton Heston, "you maniacs you blew it up!" speech. Thanks for watching 🙏📸
Those like quite the upgrade from their Wolverine Set which is the ones I have. Maybe KASE would send me a set to review. Hint Hint Thanks Adrian for the review. Cheers.

Yes there is still vignetting at wide using stacking, just not as much when used with standard adapter ring

No vignetting at 16mm on these filters. You do get slight vignetting when stacking 2 together as I showed in video at 16mm
