This was so helpful! Sometimes my embroidering files show up with colors that are completely different than what I had designed on inkscape once I pull up the file on my brother machine. It's a pain to have to go in and change every color that isn't correct. Do you know why that might be happening?
We don't know why this happens, and we have noticed it as well... It just didn't bother us, because we knew exactly what color to load in the machine. In digging around, we noticed there is a "Thread Color Management" in the Inkstitch extension (Extensions>Inkstitch>Thread Color Management>Install thread color pallets for Inkscape)... We have not tested this yet, and have no idea if it will actually solve the problem, but perhaps you could try that.
Hey, im wondering how powerful this extension for inkscape is. Does it have tools like wilcom? Actually, anything like wilcom would exceed my needs, as i use pedesign currently.
Hello, we can’t really say how this compares, as we’ve only used this software. I would say this extension is probably as capable as other embroidery software, however, probably not as intuitive. There is a learning curve to this, but to us worth it due to the price tag (free) 😀. Hope this helps!
We watched a great series by TJ FREE (th-cam.com/users/TJFREEplaylists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=7) that takes you step by step through using Inkscape. Hope that helps you!
Awesome. You are so fortunate to have such a great dad. God bless both of you.
Thanks, going to watch it!
