Also the batman 1966 that’s batman’s rookie card have a psa 4. And luke skywalker psa 7 that’s the first ever starwars card!! Glad these are getting attention finally 🙏🏼💪🏼🔥
As an old collector I have to admit that these mostly Silver Age cards are super cool. I don’t see myself buying any however, I’d rather put my funds into comics.
I have a complete 55 card set from 1967…the pop numbers on psa are hard to believe compared to sought after classic non-sport sets….looking forward to the 1967 review if you could….thanks!
For cards this old psa 4 is actually great condition, anyone who knows vintage sport card grading know this. Marvel card folks are just used to 9's & 10's but for vintage 7 is ultra high grade. Even 3's can be really nice cards in my experience. Id say binder for 3 n under, slab for 4 and above.
@@djmoonchild01 So CGC no longer offer the blue label for card grading? I have some I wanted to have them graded but they are mostly from the 90's and most likely don't worth much cause of the mass production during that time 😶
I’m sure you won’t remember, but I was the one that said not to waste your money grading your 90s cards and that the much better set was the 1966 as well as the 70’s Topps Marvel sticker set. Been collecting non-sports cards since I was 5 and my Parents got me some packs of the 1966 Batman set.
@@The9.9Newsstand My collection is all raw. Mars Attacks, all the original Batman sets, Outer Limits, original Wacky Packages and lots more. When I was collecting them virtually no one was. I always had to explain what a non-sports card was.
Thanks for sharing this info. As someone who bought a lot of bubble gum as a kid to get a complete set of these cards, I've wondered why they aren't given more attention. I chewed a lot of really horrible gum but ended up with one full set, a set about 90% complete and an additional 40 or so cards. Thanks for the informative videos.
lol, that’s very cool. Do you still have them with you? I think they will be getting a lot of new found appreciation. Most everyone I talk to are only just hearing about them, for the first time. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!Appreciate you for taking the time!
Thanks for posting as this was of interest to me. I'm an OG Marvel fanboy from the 1960's. I do indeed have a complete, 66 card raw set of the Donruss Marvel Super Heroes cards from 1966. I also have a number of dupes and a couple of slabbed cards that I bought on eBay many years ago. I had no idea they were hot.
That’s very cool! If ever you’re thinking of selling something from your collection, please do think of me. I’d love to be able to consider it. Hope all is well!
Rare cards, I have about 10 raw cards that didn't look gradable but now I will send them in. I got them from an antique shop over 20 years ago and never thought about them till this video showed up. $$$$
1967 Philadelphia is way more scarce and almost nobody knows about em. I have a complete set. Has rookie cards for Dr. Strange, Namor and all of the Fantastic four.
It’s truly fascinating how many of the people that are now saying these cards are awesome used to say they weren’t important because they didn’t have original art and silly word balloons. Also many of those people are the same that quietly bought PMGs, and then said they were cool. The “OG collectors that kept them secret” before were the ones that are pumping them right now. My advice is don’t get caught holding the bag and buy in right now - the people making money on this are the ones that have already been planing this a few years!
Many of them are loved and valuable… But it all depends on the condition. Because the real monetary value is in a gem mint graded example. And usually the highest prices go to the PSA 10s. it is nuanced, and some are much more rare and sought-after than others. But it’s fun to learn about! Buy even beyond condition or monetary value, we all love them very, very much for their nostalgic and sentimental value. Everyone, at any price point, can enjoy cool 90s cards.
Comics and cards have always gone hand-to-hand I have never understood why there is no market for them. The fact that most people threw them away or put them in the spokes of their bike wheels would leave one to believe there's not as many out there as people think anymore. I hope all comic cards become a major trading community just like comics.
I just found a box that my neighbor threw out and it had with the 1966 cards and 1967 Stickers. There’s over 60 cards and stickers. They are raw. I’m a sports card collector.
some of the card grading companies aren't as vigilant in detecting trimming as you might think. That and cleaning/pressing cards continued to make advancments and become better known.
Its not a fad because they are the very first marvel cards and they came out only a couple years after most characters were introduced. They are vintage, meaning they have the real long term value, unlike modern cards with a million variants. Its really bizzar to me that people spend hundreds and even thousands on modern but largely scoff at the original vintage cards, its really baffling.
I don’t even know where to start on marvel cards. I know they had a set a few years ago with actual Spiderman comic cuts. Stuff like that would get me collecting just like they do with the autographs and relics on sports
sounds expensive to be a spider-man fan. The only P.C book of spider-man I like is the punisher 1st appearance. Hulk and Spider-Man are one of my favorite team-ups (strength and agility maxed)... but still could be beat by Domino and Cable together.
