ALIWAN FIESTA, the Philippines' annual festival of champions, was founded in 2003.
One of the 15 festival contingents at this year's Aliwan Fiesta,
Meguyaya Festival from Upi, Maguindanao del Norte, was represented by Kibucay National High School.
Meguyaya Festival ended up winning 3rd prize in the Street Dance Competition showcasing and highlighting the cultural heritage of those groups of performers from all over the Philippines.

Aliwan Fiesta, the Philippines' festival of champions, announces its official list of participants for this year's much-awaited Streetdance Competitions.
Aliwan Fiesta 2024 culminates on June 29, 5 p.m, with the Grand Parade, featuring the much-anticipated Streetdance and Float Competitions. The parade will start at the intersection of Jalandoni St. and V. Sotto St., proceed along P. Bukaneg St. in front of the CCP, turn onto Roxas Blvd., and culminate in front of the Aliw Theater, where contingents will perform their spectacular six-minute routines. The best of the best will be selected in the awarding ceremonies at 9 p.m.
Contingents vying to take home the championship for this year's Streetdance Competition are:
01. Lakbayaw Festival from the City of Manila
02. Panagbenga Flower Festival from Baguio City
03. Bodong Festival from Rizal, Kalinga
04. Halamanan Festival from Guiguinto, Bulacan
05. Dinamulag Mango Festival from Iba, Zambales
06. Panagkakadua-an Festival from San Felipe, Zambales
07. Antipolo Maytime Festival from Antipolo City
08. Hamaka Festival from Taytay, Rizal
09. Niyogyugan Festival from Pagbilao, Quezon
10. Kaogma Festival from Baao, Camarines Sur
11. Cagsawa Festival from Daraga, Albay
12. Dinagyang Festival from Iloilo
13. Tultugan Festival from Iloilo
14. Sinulog Festival from Cebu
15. Meguyaya Festival from Upi, Maguindanao del Norte
Contestants will be judged based on:
Theme/Concept - 35%
Choreography - 20%
Performance - 20%
Costume - 15%
Props - 10%
The grand prize winner will receive P1.5 million, with cash prizes for runners-up as well as special awards for Pride of Place, Best Costume, and Best Musical Accompaniment.
Aliwan Fiesta 2024 is organized by the MBC Media Group in partnership with the City of Pasay, the City of Manila, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
