Tony for many years I was a functioning alcoholic and now I've been sober about 9 months. Thanks to the good lord in heaven. Quitting give me my life back. I absolutely love camping and fishing and anything outdoors. You have been a big inspiration because a man that has had a major stroke and you don't let it slow you down one bit. That takes guts. Hopefully we will meet someday stay strong my brother.
That is definitely a sound that is hard to recreate you've actually got to be out there and experience it like you did as a child what a fond memory. I actually recorded the rain on the tarp for 10 whole minutes not sure what I'm going to do with it yet but I really loved the sound
Hey Tony! You are crushing it! So inspirational for those of us that are a bit older and suffered through some medical hardships and have disabilities. And it's good to see that you are always upbeat and happy! Looking forward to connecting with you soon!
That was a great camp! Got scared with the truck lights. I loved the chilli with the Texas Pete, your louisiana crumb cake concoction and your little frog friend under the hammock and the button on the tree for the exit music!
I bass fished today in pouring rain. I caught 12, kept and cleaned the legal 10 fish limit. I love spring fishing! So fun. Who cares if it's raining? I think it's like rain camping. If you have the right gear the rain isn't a problem.
Thanks for giving me something to watch. The state of the union address is on. I'd rather watch Tony. Never know what hes up to. I know the state of the union. Keep on adventuring. 👍🙂🙏
Yeah too bad you didn't have a very large tarp to string up over your tent to give you an area to be out and under from the tent. But there is definitely nothing like rain on a tent or tarp like you said amazing
Thanks 👍 the rain was definitely a benefit and thank you for taking notice to all the camera work really makes a difference hearing it from those that view it
Rain on a tarp or tent is soothing. That's my opinion. Hope to do some car camping this summer as I'm not a cold weather camping person. Can't backpack as my knees don't work well anymore, but I can still walk on trails. Found the trekking poles you use at Cabela's in Post Falls, ID about an hour from where I live. Will get them when weather gets better.
Great video, Tony! This was fun, soothing, and relaxing. 😃 I enjoyed eating my oatmeal and tea, while watching you have oatmeal, coffee, and Hamburger Mac n' Cheese. 😃
Ok we fell asleep 💤 😂 not because it’s boring but the rain sound made us great camp mate you looked like some crazy humpback monster with the rain coat 😂
Gotta check out the ponchos from wilderness innovations. You can get them the standard size. Or extra wide. So an added 6” on each side. Or an extra 6” on either the front and back or both. To cover a pack better. Or what he called sleeve extensions so right at the shoulder area has an extra 6” an extra snaps that actually will make more a cuff around your wrist/arm. Can add a hoody pocket insulated or not. And all of them come with a hem at the front and back base of the poncho. With a built in dyneema cord with an eye on each side. With a snap to hold that cord in its sleeve. In order to unsnap the pocket sleeve an pull both ends of the cord by the eyes. To turn the poncho into a gathered end hammock. Also sells the poncho liners with the hood that match’s up to the poncho with the snaps and all. But also has two small sleeves at the base with bungee cord that stores into it. To take the poncho liner. And snap it an stretch it under the poncho that’s a hammock that matches up perfectly to create a underquilt. And has matching snaps of a top quilt that matches them same snaps on the poncho and poncho liner. So all the pieces all work together perfectly. Also has a bug net that works with it all that slides over it. I ended up buying a few. One in a ultralight material. He used to have it in canvas. Another in cordura. And one in the Ultra 200 fabric and one other high % dyneema fabric forget what it was called. Definitely pricy. Least for the ultra one. But that’s probably my favorite one I got from him. But one of the better parts it’s made here it’s the made in the USA tag.

Thank you for this. I'm still a noob at hammock camping. Is there a recommendation for when you hang a tarp "over" a ridgeline vs when you let it hang/attached to prusik knots? Cheers and thank you for sharing your experiences.
You can go to the description of all of the videos and you will see a one-wind link and coupon code. You're pineapple crunch cake I've decided to make one in June as a birthday cake for a girl I've been chatting with that lives in ostrava cezch Republic. I make either a video or take a photo of what I've made her for her birthday. They are health conscious and she gets onto me over eating tv dinners😅. One year I made a pineapple upside down cake and took a photo of it along with a TV dinner and told her i made her dinner and desert 😂. When I make it this year I'm going to make it in 2 pie pans over my charcoal grill at the cabin. Might even make BBQ chicken brests to go with it. I'm sure she will get a kick out of it and surprised by the injunity of it but I will give the credit for the desert to you for inventing it. I'm just curious if it can be done on a larger scale. I'll let you know how it turned out.
Hey Robert I've tried making it in a larger batch doesn't seem to work out as good so I always do it in the titanium Camp cup and it always tastes better when I'm camping however Stitch said he would like to have one with two crunch cakes in it. But you are on the right idea I hope she enjoys it take care my friend
@@randomadventures2.0 from what I've seen is the crunch cake absorbs the juice and some of the brown sugar butter slury.
