Easy Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 "Hot Lava" Restoration

- The year 1990 was a special time… mullets, bright colors, and most importantly the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 “Hot Lava” release. Today, Vick Almighty restores this re-release Air Tech Challenge 2 “Hot Lava” from 2007 back to all it’s Andre Agassi glory! Rewind to 1990. Picture the French Open; with it’s classy tennis courts, and high fashioned guests - when all of a sudden here comes tennis star Andre Agassi in his Hot Lava Air Tech’s shaking up the whole tennis world! The shoe caused such a controversy that the tennis officials nearly made an all white dress protocol for players, instead of the “pink” on Agassi’s sneakers. Back to the present, the Air Tech Challenge 2 has been released in this iconic colorway multiple times, including most recent in 2016 and the date of this pair from 2007. To begin to restore these 2007 Nike Air Tech 2s, Vick first cleans the sneakers with the Reshoevn8r 3 Brush Laundry System to remove the outside dirt. Then, he places he sneaker in the washing machine to clean with Reshoevn8r Sneaker Laundry Detergent. Once the shoe is cleaned, Vick continues on to remove the yellowing on the midsole and repaint back to white. Vick u should use a product called sole sauce. I've noticed that you cleaned translucent bottoms but you dont restore them back to their original icy color. Sole sauce does that the same way you whiten midsoles with salon care 40.

We let the sneaker air dry, we do not recommend putting a shoe in the dryer.

Vick - all done with the midsole using the all purpose brush now up to the upper with the soft brush
Ashy dad - i don’t know son maybe he is his in the air bubble while the monster was attacking with the brush and some white bubbles that are toxic

Vick - now for the best results clean in a circular motion

Not my favorite restoration. I feel like the uppers coulda used some white paint and the toe box coulda used the wet shirt/towel and iron method. Paint on the midsole was phenomenal, though.
