- DH-S-4 CM Defender Only, No Stickers, 8 ops
Since I picked up Defenderknights over 3 years ago, this stage (no stickers) was the first time I ever thought a stage was impossible in a nontrivial way (eg Defender triple cost or ban). I think it's one of the hardest event stages of all time (CF-EX-8 CM No Items and IC-S-4 CM No Cars are pretty close). It was actually the very first stage I thought of when asked about Penance S2 because it deals massive AOE arts damage, ignoring aspd (this turned out to be much more useful than I thought for many stages).
The reason I didn't do this earlier was because the diver wave is extremely inconsistent and requires some weird bugs where Saria will heal faster than she should be under -80 aspd. You can see an example at 3:00 where she does an auto attack and then immediately heals. I've been grinding it on and off since Penance came out and it just so happens that I got the RNG today.

Feels weird to post a summer stage while we're playing a freeze based event but there was nothing interesting to do for Defenders on the farm stages (Penance solos all of them except 5 cause 2 lanes, 8 cause of Harold) so I went back to try my old failed grinds

Man I can clearly remember that this stage was a huge pain in the rear even with stickers. I'm really AMAZED that you have pulled it off. congratulations
Forgot how crap stickerless DH can get, with time gate for DP into tilebans and corroding waters. Adding more ops doesn't even matter as they can't really do anything after the pseudo tileban.
The divers wave looks awful due to everyone having 0 def and Saria can't even move to heal lmao
Considering how nicely you can handle the dockworkers, sniper wave really feels like the big boss here with the DP limitation. Good stuff!
Amusingly before Penance I had no way to beat the dockworker wave, tried before but the amount of aspd down is too hard
