All of Gulf World's rough-toothed dolphins are rescued so they are from the wild. They have had a few calves during their time at Gulf World but none have really lived longer than a month.
They're really just holding pools for when they can't have all the dolphins have access to show pools, such as during sea lion training sessions, shows, and interaction programs. It looks really bad to the public but I don't think the dolphins care at all. Usually at the start and end of the day all dolphins have access to every pool and I've seen them choose to stay in the smaller spaces.

Yes. They're just holding pools for interaction programs, shows, or if the sea lions needed to be trained.
