Thank you so much for this video. Most importantly for simplifying what I needed to know about adjusting events and non-adjusting events. You broke down this part of the module so well that it was easy for me to understand and I was able to write my exam. I was also able to explain this to my peers. Thank you greatly for teaching me things I could not grasp in class. The detail was so excellent and well summarized. Well done and thank you for adding so much value to me.
So in point number 3 about court case. Even the financial statements have or not have provisions created. A court case resolution will mean It's an adjusting event. Am i right?
Dear Sir! I have a question related to this topic. We audited a customer's financial statement for the year ended 31 Dec 2022 in Apr 2023. The customer had been inspected by the tax office on 12 Jan 2023 then the tax office's decision later in Jan. So what should we do with the tax arrears? We should adjust it in FS for the year ended 31 Dec 2022 or not? Thank you so much for your help!

Sir. It would be very kind if you reply. Dividend declared before reporting date but paid after reporting date. Is it a adjusting event?

How is Example 2 a non-adjusting sir,please elaborate.
because there was no evidence of the fire taking place before the end or at the reporting period of 28 Feb 2021.
I think there was a problem with the dates there when they said year end is 28 December then on 2 may 2021 there was a fire
Thank you
You're welcome
