Gaozong reflects on being an 11 year old conductor

In 2015, at age 11, CMC participant Gaozong got up on stage and conducted the Macalester and ComMUSICation choirs during a performance in front of a packed house. This was the first time a youth had taken on this role at ComMUSICation, but certainly not the last.
Youth leadership is something that we have woven through the various facets of our programs, and we believe that young people are capable of amazing things when given the space and tools to succeed!
