The new hub world is Old Sharlayan. They didn't move anywhere, that's where they always were lol. They wanted to expand from their island nation into mainland Eorzea, but due to failed negotiations with Garlemald, they fled back to Old Sharlayan. And that's where Idyllshire is, in the ruins of New Sharlayan. (It's explained during MSQ back in HW). Garlemald has been at war in the 3 great continents for over -a century- 50 years now, so the ruins have had many years to fall apart to become what they are now (this part isn't explained in MSQ, but it's the canonical story)
Yeah a lot of this I barely remembered since its been ages since I did HW. But in the hype thats the first thing that came out of my mouth lol. Ty for the recap!
Not a century. Garlemald as an Empire didn’t exist that long. It was converted from the Garlean Republic. They only went to war for about 50 years. Where did you get a century?
@@acgearsandarms1343 Sorry, I was associating Solus's age to the length of Garlemald's war, which is indeed not correct. Idk why that clicked in my mind that way lol. The Garlemald Republic started their expansion in 1521 of the 6th astral era. The Garlean Empire (founded in 1552) pulled back after the fall of Dalamud in 1572. So you're right, they've only been at active war for about 50 years. Completely wrong on my part. Good catch.
I'm pretty sure that dragon is Vritra, you can hear estinien say "The hour has come Vritra, its all or nothing" it makes sense, the dragon does not look like tiamat, and Vritra is the name of a dragon like creature from hindu mythology.
I like the reaction but i find it funny that all the ppl guess the dragon wrong when you see its clearly different from all the dragons we have seen so far^^
@@biscuitman5388 While I actually prefer Vrtra's design, we do find out why he's slightly smaller than Tiamat, Nidhogg and Hraesvelgr. According to Ishikawa herself (the writer) Vrtra's the youngest sibling of Midgarsormr's 7 children. So it's no wonder he's a bit smaller.

Im no fan of FFV that much, but isnt that the series where 2 kids/twins sacrificed themselves to save Cecil from the trap? And since Endwalker is like FFV, right?
It was FFIV! Although I do remember it being mentioned the devs really like FFV (esp during Omega raids launch) Def a theory going around and a lot of "protect the twins". The flavor text for the FFIV twins minions makes some mention on their end.
@@RaikaMaelyn oh it was IV? If Endwalker has a little blend of FFIV, then i surely hope they dont put "that" scene since a lot of players love the twins
You can tell way to many people are noobs to the lore of the brood, looks nothing like tiamat. Way to many people were hype for dragoon kid that could not hear the massive lore name drop.
The game doesn't really bring up the names of every first brood in the main scenario quests so you can't blame the majority of players for not knowing. The least you could do is educate others about the lore so more people would know their significance.
The creature the WoL kills in the last big is the First Beast from Amourot.
Here we are, standing against the second coming of the Final Days. I wonder what Emet-Selch would have to say if he saw us now.
We reach the point where WOL can one-shot the First Beast as a tank boi.
Except a fucklot weaker
@@Leafia_Barrett I know this is old but it's actually Emet narrating the whole trailer (his voice actor at least)
The fucking chills from this whole trailer
You know its the End Times......CUS PALADIN FINALLY GETS TO BE THE "STORY" CLASS OF A NEW RELEASE!!
The WoL is on that Cecil journey of changing jobs from Dark Knight to Paladin. One of the many references to FFIV in Endwalker.

Think some were quick to judge among all the hype lol We know better after the fact just excited noises just to see new parts of the trailer lol
That's not tiamet, it's one of 2 remaining from Midgar.
It's Vrtra.
Yeah Tiamats design is bigger and way cooler. (Not that this ones bad but in comparison)

main vocals song for this trailer is sam carter from architecs, metalcore band from UK
and that fact makes the trailer even better xDDD
No way
The song had some 90’s rock style vibes
