My First Year at Vaganova Ballet Academy -- 2019-2020

One year ago, I had just arrived in Russia for the summer.
I had no idea how much my life was about to change and that
St. Petersburg would soon become my new home.
I had an amazing 6 weeks and shortly after returning home, I packed my bags (a lot of them 🤣) and moved to Russia to start on my new adventure training at the Vaganova Ballet Academy. From the first day I stepped into the academy, I was constantly inspired and amazed at the dancers, teachers and history the school holds. Moving to Russia definitely had its challenges and ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I had an amazing experience and though my time there this year was cut short due to the pandemic, the abundance of knowledge and experiences I gained was never-ending. I wish I could have finished the year off strong and we could have done the exams and performances we had prepared and rehearsed for. But, I am so grateful for the experience I had and for all the people who supported me along the way and made it all possible. I hope the situation in the world will allow me to return in the fall, but for now I have these beautiful memories to look back on...❤️ 💫
