Hi Constance. Bet your leftover glaze would be outstanding in a sweet potato pie! Thanks for your devotions. Somehow just what I'm struggling with appears in most of them.🤩
those carrots look delicious, i'm going to can some of those when i can my carrots. i also watched your baked bean video. i've been looking for a good recipe for them and i believe your's is the one i want to make. thank you for the recipes.
I'm just canning this right now. But I'm using ruby red grapefruit juice instead of the orange juice. As I'm allergic to oranges of all kinds. It tastes so good!
Wow, love glazed carrots so might have to try this. They are by far one of the prettiest jars you've canned. Love your channel and content as well as all your recipes on your website. Did you grow all your carrots or get them at the grocery store?
I just got an idea. Water dissolvable tape . I found some on a site called Smartsolve. 1 inch by 30 yards for 10.99. Might be great for canning. I love the ball water soluble labels but they can get expensive and hard to find. Love your TH-cam channel. It is so relaxing to visit with you and I love your devotionals. They help keep me centered when everything around us is so uncertain.

I canned carrots yesterday using your recipe. I was so excited to try them that I could not wait....I had to pop open a jar within two hours after coming out of the canner. They are delicious straight out of the jar....tender and tasty
Oh yes somebody loves carrots!!! LOL Well once again I am going to have to try this recipe. You need to put out a cookbook. You don't have anything else to do to. hehehehe GREAT VIDEO as always
Those look so good. Do you add anything when you prepare them to eat or is that all you need? It sounds like it would be delicious. Thanks for sharing this!

I’m still learning. Do you have a compost pile or put it directly back into the garden soil? I have been enjoying your channel and watching/learning new skills and recipes.
If Noah had been wise, he would of swatted them to flies! Lol, I couldn't control my self. I'm gonna try this recipe with a touch of stevia in one jar.
I take the rings off so that I can test the seal, and I leave them off so that I can easily tell if a jar's seal has failed later on. Once they are sealed, they do not need the rings.
@Victoria Thompson. Carrot peelings tend to be a bit bitter. I compost mine also. I am new to this site, but it looks really good. After watching Constance, I went straight to the online Walmart site and ordered both masking tape and flour sack tea towels. I have not used my all American Canner in years. That is going to change. Their online manuals are very specific about how to avoid botulism. I’m impressed with how clean she keep everything. She has been eating a lot better than I have.

Bet sweet spuds would be great canned this way. I will have to try this!
Going to try this recipe! Thanks!❤️😘🙏🏻
Use the extra brine over baked sweet potato. Or as a ham glaze Yum!
Thank you

My carrots in the garden aren't ready yet. These were a big bunch of organic carrots that I picked up at Costco ;)

I have a roll of the dissolvable labels - have had the same roll for years. I just never use them.
Looks good
Thank you; I went to the store to get carrots and brown sugar....I am ready to can carrots next week

These I would love, but my family loves plain canned carrots that I roast with salt and pepper. And my husband loves canned chopped carrots creamed.
Definitely want to try those. They look amazing!

Do you compost your peelings from your veggies? Even the peelings look appealing when you’re a Gardner. Those look great! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely! Yes, I compost almost everything.
I’m still learning. Do you have a compost pile or put it directly back into the garden soil? I have been enjoying your channel and watching/learning new skills and recipes.
What is it they say, build it and they will come...the carrots that is!
Wow !!!!
Can you do this with winter squash?
No, this recipe would not work with squash. The processing for squash is different than carrots
Canned your sugar glazed carrots this morning! Only made single recipe, got 9 pints! Thanks!❤️😘🙏🏻
If Noah had been wise, he would of swatted them to flies! Lol, I couldn't control my self.
I'm gonna try this recipe with a touch of stevia in one jar.
I am looking forward to giving this a try this week coming up. Do I use light brown sugar or dark brown sugar?
I have made it with both, so whatever you have is fine.
Can you just can up the glaze itself in jelly jars, great to go over ham steaks, pork roast
Ok now I’m hungry for carrots and it’s All. Your. Fault! ♥️👍🙏🇺🇸😂
🤣
The same here!
Does keeping them that size keep them from being so mushy? They look amazing.
I did them that size, mainly to fit as many jars as possible into the jar :)
why do you remove the rims?Love it when I hear Mr.Smith "s voice in the tutorial you both work very hard loving following you.
I take the rings off so that I can test the seal, and I leave them off so that I can easily tell if a jar's seal has failed later on. Once they are sealed, they do not need the rings.
You can use that juice in cranberries.
Use the extra to roast your Christmas ham. 🤤
can you dehydrate the carrot peel to make carrot powder with?
You probably could!

How many pint jars fit in the all American canner
It depends on which AA Canner you have. They make them in a variety of sizes.
We love glazed carrots. Do they stay fairly firm?
They get soft, like cooked carrots. But they aren't mushy.
how long did you pressure them for Constance?
30 minutes at 10 lb pressure. I have a printable of this recipe on my website :)
We're these cooked for 30 min?
Is it light or dark brown sugar
I use either one. They both work. The dark just has a slightly richer flavor.
You forgot to mention how long and at what psi you canned for?
The full recipe and instructions is provided in the print recipe, linked in the video description. cosmopolitancornbread.com/brown-sugar-glazed-carrots/
If I scrub my carrots, may I leave the peeling on?
I have heard mixed views on whether you do or not. I just err on the side of caution and peel them.
@@CosmopolitanCornbread ty I’ll do likewise.
Can a version of this recipe be canned normally in a water bath??
No. Carrots are a low acid food and must be pressure canned.
I was wondering with going by your brine recipe why yours look so much darker?
I used dark brown sugar. If you used light brown sugar, that is the only thing I could think of that would make a difference.
@@CosmopolitanCornbread great...thank you so much! I'm sure it will still be tasty. I made 16 x1 litre jars last week! Can't wait to try it!
where is everyone seeing 30 min for each pint and quart. my books say 25/30?
The Ball blue book shows 30 min for both glazed carrots, but 25/30 for plain.
