Because the TurboTax software lobby has bribed Congress to prevent the IRS from giving us a pre-populated form that we could just simply accept, amend, or decline. That way TurboTax, HR Block, etc. can make money off taxpayers by selling software or offering tax prep services.

Almost every county in the United States has a service called "legal aid." This exists to help people who are having financial or other challenges to get basic legal services. They will help you get to the right people to get help preparing your taxes. If they're not on the IRS transcripts, then you'll have to ask the issuers of these 1099s. It's possible they neglected to actually file them with the IRS.

I file every year whether required to or not. It is a good way to know if someone else is using your SS number. Also, one year, way back, 200 dollars was sent out by the government. If you did not file, you did not receive it.
I did not file a return in 2015. My business llc did more than $400 in sales but expenses exceeded income, and I didn't take a draw. I shutdown my business that year. With it 8 yrs old and no taxes owed do I really need to file? I did not tell the irs my llc went inactive.
I got a question so I don't owe any money to IRS in fact every taxes I didn't file are all 100 percent supposed returns could I still get in trouble ? The issue with me is I can't find all of my W2s because I moved to a different state and I don't remember every job I worked.
Yes I didn’t filled since 2018 when I file it’s asking me for a pin and I don’t know the payment I rather file it but it’s asking for a pin identity pin which I don’t know how do I get the pin am slow and sometimes out of it but I always remember that I could file my taxes I don’t want a pin irs please help me I want to file all of them and be current
Just file the returns it’s not the end of the world. Filing them will release so much weight off your shoulders you’ll feel like you took the biggest shit of your life, you’re not gonna go to prison, yes, there will be penalties if you owe but you may be able to work some of those out. With the new agents they’ve hired they’ll more likely come to you sooner than later, Just get in contact with them before they contact you, because if they contact you they might subpoena you and have you go in to a local branch and file them there and who has time for that? If you don’t have records there on their website.
I think going to prison is what most people are afraid of and is the main reason they try to fly under the radar. I mean, who wants to walk into an IRS office, admit you haven’t filed in 30 years, knowing that the only thing they’re going to tell you by then is to prepare your anus?? 😂
I'm currently looking at my transcripts. What if you're tax transcripts do not state a balance owed, or if an SFR was filed or anything it just shows which jobs you worked and how much was earned per year and the withholdings? I live in Indiana if this helps answer my question.
Why wouldn't the IRS send a letter stating they filed a tax return for you? Why do i have to check the IRS website to see of they did? That way I sign in and consent to unfiled tax returns? Or did i miss something? Will they send a letter?
If you haven’t filed for years and go in to make an account and look for sfr’s does that not throw a red flag and possibly start something from them that otherwise wouldn’t happen??
Man this bs is getting out of control.... Irs keep update the percentage of payments even thoe our annual gross stays the same... How the hell they expect us to pay them....
I am about to be 21 this year and the past 2 years i got my w2 in the mail but never filed or opened them i dont want to not do them again so what should i do so my situation doesnt get any worse
All you have to do is go to a tax filing place such as H and R block. Take all your forms and they will help you file all your missed years. You probably are owed money and will get a hefty refund.
I highly doubt at your age you earned enough to owe them anything. They probably owe you money, so by not filing, you are most likely allowing them to hold your money.
I have SFRs for 2010 and 2011, CSED is 2025 and 2027. I have an inheritance coming and want to end the IRS collection earlier than CSED. I had basically no profit for those 2 years after my self employed write offs. Should I file those returns now?
Yes, we do. We have professionals on both the West Coast and the East Coast. Please fill out the form on our homepage at choicetaxrelief.com/, and we will reach out to you!
Can I climb interests that I didn't file on my house paying you know by the house but they were charging me a lot of interest but I never claimed it can I claim it now
Hi Joe. Yes, when filing those old returns, you can claim the interest. Note that interest on your primary residence is an itemized deduction. I also created this video for you with more thoughts: th-cam.com/video/cPWxr88EMKc/w-d-xo.html
Your wage and income transcript will have the information that was reported to the IRS for the year. If you get the "unmasked" version, it will have each issuer's name and EIN. Of course, your wage and income transcript won't show things that the IRS doesn't know about, such as your itemized deductions or business deductions. It also doesn't show state tax withholding amounts.
thank you so much for this. i talked to an mo dept of rev person and am being ignored when i ask how do i get those transcripts cause between covid closing down 2 businesses I worked for, getting covid 3 time and having to move around, phones getting broken etc, i dont have them and missouri is making me pay plan and if i cant get in compliance they're going to take my house!
So will the irs send the fbi to your door without sending any notices first or do they send you notices first then if you dont reply you could get the fbi knocking?
The FBI isn’t coming to get you. They will just send you a notice and possibly a meeting with an IRS agent to audit you or to discuss your options to rectify the situation.
The IRS and the FBI have no relationship to each other. The IRS will not send an agent to your door unless you have made huge sums of money and not paid taxes for years.
What if I didn't generate any income for 35 years and never filed a tax and never received assistance from the government. What kind of situation am I in.
Need advice im 62 I haven’t filed in more that I0 yrs Why I lost it all 12 years due the housing crisis I haven’t shown any income in 9 yrs Now wanting to file and get straight was thinking of ordering the 4596t buy how far back..... is it easier to pay someone to do? Advice please
I'm in Canada and still need to file.my 21/22 and 23 taxes. I have to file mine a year at a time because I need my RRSP limit from each year. Not overly worried as I have not owed taxes ever. I get a small rebate every year. Will probably do it in the next few months. Maybe.
From someone who is 12 years behind - it can jsut get away from you. Focus on a small amount at a time and get it gone. Whilst I have all my records, sometimes its getting harder to remember things that used to be obvious and easy to recall, eg. Where I was living, who was my internet provider, how many days per week I worked form home.
@@pdcdesign9632 Here is a hint, look up what income is under the law. It is like what a state is compared to the 50 states in federal laws. Like when Hawaii and Alaska were added as part of the 49 or 50 states, and how the definion of state was updated to remove them.
Hi there! Did you have a consultation with these folks? Did you find that they were helpful? Best of luck sorting out your situation and I appreciate hearing your experience because I'm in the same predicament.
The IRS filled my taxes for 2011, 2012 $50k and 22k plus interest and they are asking for years 23,22,21,19, and 18,22 and 23. What would be the cost for filling for me?
I need help in the next week or two 24, 23 I did not work 22, 21, 20, 19. I had to stop working due to my health and filed early to SSI couldn't file SSDI because not having 5 years consecutive work history can you help me. IRS filed 2011, and 2012 for me but they are given me until Jan. 20th to filed before taking action.
When COVID hit I started getting lay offs having to pull from investments and IRA accounts. I’m not a tax accountant and not about to pay one since I just got laid off again. They already know what I I made, they should figure it out and I don’t have any money outside of my retirement accounts so what are they going to do, take my condo? lol 😂 I check my mailbox quarterly because it’s annoying.
I'm not a tax expert like this guy but I saw your comment and I know enough to tell you that, no you are not effed. 2 years is not a long time, and $10,000 a year is very low. If you've got any business expenses you can deduct you can reduce your tax to almost zero. On that lower income there will be very small taxes and penalties. Ask this guy for help or look up in your county for legal aid or other such services that will help you get to finance people that help low income folks. Best of luck.
It's crazy cuz they held my return for almost a year, I could get no answer as to why. Then one day it just was put into my account out of the blue. I read I'm suppose to collect interest if they don't give u ur return within a specific time cuz technically they r borrowing YOUR money but never got that money😂
Hi! Our office near downtown is basically for the mailroom staff and clerks. Everyone else (including the consultants and me) work remotely from home! You can book a free call here: choicetaxrelief.com/free-tax-relief-consultation/
You can file it anytime in 10 years as long as you don't owe them...generally, if you have a refund you should file them in 3 years to get that refund.
@@LoganAllec Good ! 👍I used TurboTax this year. 1st time. IRS rejected my file , said wrong birthday. So, now I'm probably going to a friend's house, to use her computer to try to print out the papers, and mail it in.
I have never filled taxes in my life, most of the time I’ve worked for construction contractors and they pay cash but also I’ve worked in different places when I was 18-19-20 but I lost the w-9, how complicated my situation is ?
You can go to irs.gov & sign up for an account. You'll have to verify who you are with a cell phone. Once you get signed up go in & look at your transcripts. They'll have a list of anyone that reported income that they paid you. Then you can use those to file. Most people in you situation or are younger don't make a huge amount of money & you would most likely get a refund if you filed. That may be why you haven't heard from them. Idk what your income level is but if your under say $30 * $40 thousand you most likely would have a refund for those years. And if you're lower income you can get most of that filed for free & just wait for your refund. It's probably in your best interest to file & see if you can get any refunds. You can also file your own taxes online once you have that info. It's not hard. Just go to the irs.gov site & look for the link they provide for filing free. Now, I'm assuming you might not be making a lot , you might be & may still even get a refund if you paid in. I"d start with getting signed in on the irs.gov site & see what's been reported & go from there. I'm not a preparer I only help friends & have done my own taxes for years. I know a little bit , maybe enough to probably give myself a headache but I do know you don't want to keep ignoring filing you may even get some of you money back depending on how much you paid in. Most young folks ususaly get refunds, especially those with children. Good luck
Real quick. The 51st state founded in 1913 with the zip code of Washington DC is the only respond for the federal income tax. If you live outside the USA with income from the USA you owe federal income tax. If you live inside the USA yoy already pay tax and don’t owe federal income tax
If you filed in the last 3 years but never got your refund seized is that a good indication that an sfr hasn’t been filed against you? What if you only did some stock/crypto trading, no regular income? Is $400 or more profit what I have to file on? Thanks
Yes, that's probably a good indication that the IRS has not prepared an SFR against you or at least has not assessed the tax on their SFR(s). That said, the Recovery Rebate Credit claimed on 2020 and 2021 returns technically wasn't supposed to be applied to back taxes. So keep that in mind if your 2020 and 2021 refunds were attributable to that credit. The $400 threshold is for self-employment income. If your only income was capital gains / losses , you're subject to the standard deduction threshold. However, it's probably a good idea to file to report your gross proceeds since otherwise the IRS may file an SFR assuming you have no basis. I've seen it where taxpayers have had millions of dollars in gross proceeds only to eek out like a $10,000 gain. But they didn't file so IRS prepared an SFR assuming they had millions of dollars of stock sales with *no basis.* So they assessed a huge liability. Of course it was fixable by filing the original return, but still a pain.
Whatever happened as in do not murder do not steal etc? No law that compels you to do something for the government could even be legal morally speaking. Those who don't have a Social Security number. Those who have had the fourth site to avoid getting a social security number are in the best position today.
No wonder there are so many people not working.. this shit is so confusing & complicated.. You can literally get money you know.. I did for 30 years & nobody cared. It wasn't until I wanted to have something outside my cash that it was a problem!! I'm hear wondering how anyone can do this crap & be sane because this is the most hectic thing I have ever heard. It's like this. You do a service you get paid. What is all this tax crap? If I wanted crap health insurance I'd pay for it. If I wanted the gov to take my money I'd just send it to them. It's so friggin difficult out here already & we pay tax for a service that doesn't do anything 🤦♂️ Your social security you pay tax on "you literally pay tax on tax" how is that even living? I made a business card & acted like a legit business for 30 years & nobody ever asked me to pay tax until I started working a real job at age 44.. I'm going back to my old ways because they never did anything for me. I did it all! Idk why tax even exists it's literally just to make you a slave
I have never filed a tax return. I am 40+ I wasn't ever taught to work nor have I ever had a family to show me. I sold drugs & don't think that's eligible for tax. I recently decided to get a job tho & the pay is junk! I can do better as an LLC. I want to work but idk taxes one bit. If there are too many steps I literally don't comprehend it, wish I could so I wouldn't have to waste my fukn money on crap like this.. 😂 Idk what to do. Idk how to even file or what to do with this stupid paperwork they give me. Idk why I even have a file cabinet 😂.. I'm fukd. I know thanks .. If you can help lmk cuz me I am so lost. 😓
Just because there is no law to file a return does not mean you shouldn’t file. If you are a W-2 employee and have been overwithholding, that’s a big refund you could get. You are also legally required to pay taxes, and if you think otherwise, I’ll refer you to the US Constitution, Amendment 16.
I was hit with a failure to file penalty from New York this year from 2018. Isn't this a statute of limitations for that? That company got brought out and I never got an updated W2 from them.
There is a gentleman that was an agent for the give me all your money, people and it wasn't just a bean counter. You did a lot of fraudulent. Stop with give me your money, people. As came ouch saying, within the code itself, it is a volunteer. Sister, he has a website set up. About this anembasically it's a scam it's a rip off
Don’t file taxes unless you are a federal employee of the US, are a dependent of the US, and if you are in any armed service. All other Americans are not obligated to pay income tax. Period. If you have proof otherwise, please provide it.
It's crazy how complicated this stuff is! Thanks for making it a little easier to understand.
You're welcome!

They’re not supposed to hide information that is a law as well
Because turbo tax payed good money to kneecap the American tax system.
Because the TurboTax software lobby has bribed Congress to prevent the IRS from giving us a pre-populated form that we could just simply accept, amend, or decline. That way TurboTax, HR Block, etc. can make money off taxpayers by selling software or offering tax prep services.

What if u never received a notice from the irs...
Then you're under the radar...for now! But chances are they will catch up to you eventually! Best to file, get in compliance, and get in a resolution ASAP.
You never will. They're understaffed, mostly incompetent, govt workers, who collect a 6 figure check to watch porn and youtube all day. Carry on
The more people who don't file, the less they can do to enforce. Thank you for being part of the solution and not the problem

How do you know whether to file returns past 6 years if no SFR is filed?
what if i havent worked in 5 years or havent had any source of income besides VA diability do i still need to file for those
Yes I didn’t filled since 2018 when I file it’s asking me for a pin and I don’t know the payment I rather file it but it’s asking for a pin identity pin which I don’t know how do I get the pin am slow and sometimes out of it but I always remember that I could file my taxes I don’t want a pin irs please help me I want to file all of them and be current
Ask Wesley Snipes for not filing that caused him jail time
I think going to prison is what most people are afraid of and is the main reason they try to fly under the radar.
I mean, who wants to walk into an IRS office, admit you haven’t filed in 30 years, knowing that the only thing they’re going to tell you by then is to prepare your anus?? 😂
I think most people are afraid of having thier hard won nest egg, robbed by gun point!
IRS has guns. What are they training for? Terrorist training?
What if the u do not have the wage n income transcripts?
If someone goes to the IRS to request their transcripts won't that notify the IRS or flag the individuals name that hasn't filed?
Yes. This guy here basically works for the IRS. He's ok with our tax filing system being so complicated 😮
Every time I put the A number i get a no case found with that A number. Do i still have to wait for a bit more time and check again?? Thank you
I'm currently looking at my transcripts.
Hi Nathan. Yes, the IRS does send letters. You can see some examples in this video: th-cam.com/video/Y6_KmdP2Z2A/w-d-xo.html

How can i find what years the irs needs my tax is frozen because if that
If you haven’t filed for years and go in to make an account and look for sfr’s does that not throw a red flag and possibly start something from them that otherwise wouldn’t happen??
Man this bs is getting out of control.... Irs keep update the percentage of payments even thoe our annual gross stays the same... How the hell they expect us to pay them....
I am about to be 21 this year and the past 2 years i got my w2 in the mail but never filed or opened them i dont want to not do them again so what should i do so my situation doesnt get any worse
You are probably costing yourself money
All you have to do is go to a tax filing place such as H and R block. Take all your forms and they will help you file all your missed years. You probably are owed money and will get a hefty refund.
I highly doubt at your age you earned enough to owe them anything. They probably owe you money, so by not filing, you are most likely allowing them to hold your money.
I have SFRs for 2010 and 2011, CSED is 2025 and 2027. I have an inheritance coming and want to end the IRS collection earlier than CSED. I had basically no profit for those 2 years after my self employed write offs. Should I file those returns now?
Yes. If you legitimately had zero income, file those returns now and it will erase the liability.
Im out of work and cant file my return this year what should i do

Hi Joe. Yes, when filing those old returns, you can claim the interest. Note that interest on your primary residence is an itemized deduction. I also created this video for you with more thoughts: th-cam.com/video/cPWxr88EMKc/w-d-xo.html

Yes. Please give us a call at 866-8000-TAX.
Can you file with a tax transcript? How can you get your employee EIN, if you can’t remember the jobs you worked for?
Your wage and income transcript will have the information that was reported to the IRS for the year. If you get the "unmasked" version, it will have each issuer's name and EIN.
Of course, your wage and income transcript won't show things that the IRS doesn't know about, such as your itemized deductions or business deductions.
It also doesn't show state tax withholding amounts.
Will I get paid out for every year in the past?
thank you so much for this. i talked to an mo dept of rev person and am being ignored when i ask how do i get those transcripts cause between covid closing down 2 businesses I worked for, getting covid 3 time and having to move around, phones getting broken etc, i dont have them and missouri is making me pay plan and if i cant get in compliance they're going to take my house!

Mines says no information at this time
I'm in Canada and still need to file.my 21/22 and 23 taxes.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the complexity of the returns, but most individual income tax returns cost between $500-$700.
The question is, who is required to file. Once that is answered, everything comes into place.
Nobody knows.. it's all so confusing and convoluted 😮
@@pdcdesign9632 Here is a hint, look up what income is under the law. It is like what a state is compared to the 50 states in federal laws. Like when Hawaii and Alaska were added as part of the 49 or 50 states, and how the definion of state was updated to remove them.

Same. How do I get my past 15 years of W-2’s?
When COVID hit I started getting lay offs having to pull from investments and IRA accounts. I’m not a tax accountant and not about to pay one since I just got laid off again. They already know what I I made, they should figure it out and I don’t have any money outside of my retirement accounts so what are they going to do, take my condo? lol 😂 I check my mailbox quarterly because it’s annoying.
If i haven't payed taxes in like 2 years, but i work for a w-2 where taxes are withheld and made less than like 10k for say am I fucked?
I'm not a tax expert like this guy but I saw your comment and I know enough to tell you that, no you are not effed. 2 years is not a long time, and $10,000 a year is very low. If you've got any business expenses you can deduct you can reduce your tax to almost zero. On that lower income there will be very small taxes and penalties. Ask this guy for help or look up in your county for legal aid or other such services that will help you get to finance people that help low income folks. Best of luck.
Wouldn't asking for your information put you back on the radar and in their crosshairs. Isn't it best to just keep quiet
Hi! Good question. Here are my thoughts: th-cam.com/video/uWQq8V-GG3g/w-d-xo.html
It's crazy cuz they held my return for almost a year, I could get no answer as to why. Then one day it just was put into my account out of the blue. I read I'm suppose to collect interest if they don't give u ur return within a specific time cuz technically they r borrowing YOUR money but never got that money😂
What if most of the time I get a refund every year and have not filed in 7 years
You will only get the past three years back if owed a refund.

You can file it anytime in 10 years as long as you don't owe them...generally, if you have a refund you should file them in 3 years to get that refund.
I am more perplexed than ever. I don't want to play anymore.
I feel you 💯. This game is just bullshit.

Go ahead and crank that playback speed up. The slowly punctuated dramatic pausing is brutal.
Good luck
What if someone was a millionaire but made all the income under the table?
If you live in Washington DC and or outside the USA is the only way you pay federal income tax
Real quick. The 51st state founded in 1913 with the zip code of Washington DC is the only respond for the federal income tax. If you live outside the USA with income from the USA you owe federal income tax. If you live inside the USA yoy already pay tax and don’t owe federal income tax
Bring it
🎉they print the money they dont need your money income tax is obsolute

You said that like you know the law, so what’s it called when you legally have to do it?
