Woodstove Wednesday! Woodstove Wednesday! Woodstove Wednesday! Did I forget to mention, Woodstove Wednesday? Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central Wyoming
@AnAlaskaHomestead Well, you know the deal: crippled up old fat man in the middle of nowhere with way too much time on his hands! Glad everything's going well! Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central Wyoming
Like you said if it isn’t one thing it’s another. I always thought that after our kids grew up we’d have so much time to do the things we wanted to do. Turns out it’s the opposite. All we can do is pray and take one day at a time. Have a Great week and Thanks for sharing.
Man if you can get a grapple for your tractor. Best money I’ve ever spent on mine. Run the lines to your rear remotes unless you have a third function switch on your loader controls.
All good big fella, great video. Can you burn the beech wood??? The gift that keeps coming 😂😂😂 Be nice to get some use out of it. ALL THE BEST… Happy New Year!!!
The POW region house has a wood fired central boiler that would love to eat that driftwood Brian! A little tarped drying 5 months would work.. the boiler can eat fuel that a wood stove wouldn't do well with. Great Video!
With all of that plentiful wood that washes up on the beach every year, personally I would get a saw mill and make my own lumber. As we live in Alaska as well, always love seeing another part of it's beauty. Thanks for sharing.
Good morning from Cape Cod. What a beautiful morning you are having. Wow a lot came ashore during those storms. It amazes me how much stuff is floating in the ocean that we don’t see until a storm brings it ashore. That was no easy task. Good job Brian. Was good to see you today. I’d like to wish you and Diana a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope to see you again soon. Take care✌️🇺🇸❤️❤️
Another nice one. Great visuals. I live off grid and road system in Long Arm, off Noser Bay North of Ketchikan. As you say, if it's not one thing it's the next. One does need redundancy out there--backup to the backup. Splendid isolation, thank you Warren Zevon. The adventure abides!
You are right! Bryan moves enough wood cleaning his beach road up after storms that a grapple attachment would really pay for itself quickly as well as making handling logs for the saw mill much easier too.
The big tide brings all kinds of firewood :) I think I'd be cutting out your overland trail to where the boat is your beach trail is a lot of work cleaning it up, & looks pretty hard on that little tractor, take care stay warm"
Most of those driftwood logs have lots of sand in the cracks and crevices which is really hard on any kind of saw blade, especially chainsaws. So I guess it depends on how badly you need firewood.
WOW 😲, what a mess mother nature left for you. Can you just get it in a pile and burn it??? Hope you get everything figured out. Have a 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to you and your wife.
Great to see you again, it's been a minute..😂 Starter fluid and a Zippo will seat the bead again, we do Mega Truck tires that way. If it were me, I'd push all that wood and debris above the tide line, to be used at a later date. Love ya'll ❤️ The Jeep should work fine..
At least you dont have a dead whale on the beach. 🤣 If you can you you might want to save some of that stuff for later, wife might like a couple of chainsawed benches or so.
Son of a beach what a mess🤬🤬🤬👹👹👹I have a idea call in the beach combers its a old canadian tv show and ask for releck he will clean up those logs in no time 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 check it out you will have a laugh. 😇😇😇😇😍😍😍😍

Nice to hear from yous hope you both are well
What a mess you had to deal with!! Thank goodness for your tractor! Have a blessed and safe Thanksgivin🎄🎄🎄🎄🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Sue
I lived off grid for 7 years and all I can think of is firewood from the Driftwood I mean it's a free source but it is a lot of work so I'll be quiet.
Glad to see you are still kicking!!
Still here

Happy New Year!!!
To reseat a tire that comes off rim do you have an air compressor? Invest in a tire bead blaster that will help you.
Some of those big logs might be fun to cut on the mill? That tractor is a life saver..!!
Have fun Brian, a lot of driftwood sculptures😅. Life on the water.
Definitely
The POW region house has a wood fired central boiler that would love to eat that driftwood Brian! A little tarped drying 5 months would work.. the boiler can eat fuel that a wood stove wouldn't do well with. Great Video!
That would be cool!
With all of that plentiful wood that washes up on the beach every year, personally I would get a saw mill and make my own lumber. As we live in Alaska as well, always love seeing another part of it's beauty. Thanks for sharing.
Good idea. I love how different Alaska is in other areas. It’s a big state.
@AnAlaskaHomestead I even would guess a lot of that wood might be cedar.
Yep, it has been a little cold! to say the least. Hope you are Diane have a blessed Thanksgiving and blessings for the week.
Thank you! You too!
That was some good clean up B! My uncle worked for Warn for 3 decades... quality stuff right there. Happy Thanksgiving you two! Thanks for sharing.
I used to go rock crawling when we lived in Colorado. My trusty Warn got me out of a lot of sticky situations. Great winch.
Glad to see you again!
Thanks Martna
Videos like this make us further north glad we only have to plow snow. Down in SE you get to plow heaps of driftwood instead 😛
Ha it’s a trade off🤣

Thank you Charlene. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
Good to see you buddy. Good thinking adding that winch to the jeep for backup. Keep on keeping on. 👍💪
Thanks Jay. Life is like a garden, dig it!
Thankyou 😊
You’re welcome 😊

Moser Bay
That’s awesome. I’d like to make it down to Ketchikan by boat one day.
@@AnAlaskaHomestead Our wonderful crooked Coast
I see you living free and it inspires me. #livefree
A grappler attachment for your tractor would be a good investment in this situation.
You are right! Bryan moves enough wood cleaning his beach road up after storms that a grapple attachment would really pay for itself quickly as well as making handling logs for the saw mill much easier too.
And while one is talking equipment you be amazed at the versatility of an excavator.
It would be.
You should use for firewood
I hope all goes well and have a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday
Same to you!
So much work, this will l look great.
Hey Brian, can you burn any of that drift wood? Either in your stove, or just in giant pile to get rid of it? (btw stay warm!)
I was going to ask the same question
I need to have a big bonfire.
The big tide brings all kinds of firewood :) I think I'd be cutting out your overland trail to where the boat is your beach trail is a lot of work cleaning it up, & looks pretty hard on that little tractor, take care stay warm"
It’s mostly state property or there would already be a trail above the tide line.
@@AnAlaskaHomestead Then maybe a grapple would be an awesome attachment for your tractor :) They make them for all kinds,
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I haven’t seen you in a while. I sure hope you your wife and the rest of your family are faring. Well I will stay tuned for another day
All is well. Needed a break from you tube. 😂
Does the drift wood make good firewood?
Rocky!
Do you ever set fire to all the stuff on the beach.
Small ones but we need to do a big bonfire 🔥
Any sought-after properties of logs that get water logged then dried on your beach? Or are they useless (other than an epic bonfire)?
Epic bonfire😂
Keep on Truckin!😎🇺🇸
Will do
Looks like a year of firewood there!!!! Is it even good for firewood??? Happy Thanksgiving Guys!!
Happy Thanksgiving as well
Isn’t that good fire wood??
Do ya burn any of the big drift wood for fire wood?I know may have sand in it and hard on chains and bars?
That and it’s hard in the stacks, the tend to rust out faster. Burning salt water driftwood can also release toxins.
Why don't you use the pallet fork to move timber?
Unless the logs are balanced they just fall off. A grapple attachment would work great but they are $$$
You definitely.
Should invest in a grapple bucket. The time and money will save on fuel will be well worth it.
I’d love one.
Hearthstone, we've had ours since 2005. Does it heat your cabin ok. We burn hardwood here in Michigan. Just curious, thanks for sharing.
We have to open the door to cool the cabin 😂
One question, are you able to use this logs for firewood? Thanks for the feedback and stay safe!
Most of those driftwood logs have lots of sand in the cracks and crevices which is really hard on any kind of saw blade, especially chainsaws. So I guess it depends on how badly you need firewood.
@ Thank you Jon makes sense 👍🏼
You could but we don’t. They can release toxins when burned and rust out your stove and stack.
@ Thanks for the explanation much appreciated, didn’t know. Stay safe and till next time.🙏🏼
Can you use the draft wood as firewood? Or is it to wet and salty to burn?
Salty is the key word. It rust the stove and stack but can also be toxic.
don`t you use that for fire wood ??
This maybe a silly question but wouldn't that wood be good for heating the house for you
Some people use it but we do not.
WOW 😲, what a mess mother nature left for you. Can you just get it in a pile and burn it??? Hope you get everything figured out. Have a 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to you and your wife.
lots of drift wood to burn or build something ,
Why don’t you burn that wood on the beach to get rid of it?
One day we will have a big bonfire
@@AnAlaskaHomestead make sure you have some good hot dogs and a real, real long stick!
@ 😂
Time for a little wood cutting.
👍👍

Yeah just got back from town and pulled the boat up with the jeep. No issues.
@AnAlaskaHomestead Happy Thanksgiving my Alaskan Friends!!
@@russellwatters5891 same to you buddy

Ha we’ve had Dead Sea lines and a moose but never a whale.
Why don't you make a FIRE down on the rocks and get rid of all that garbage wood
I need to
👍😎🇨🇦🌊

it is a funny show
You going to burn it all ??
No, it just collects on the beach. Maybe a bonfire.
Wow look at all that fire wood that the Lord brought u.
Glad to see , from Russia🇷🇺, answer my questions, заготавливаете ли вы рыбу и мясо на зиму и как?
