The maxima is an amazing sedan, have a 16 SR. An actual test drive definitely would be a positive for your viewers .

You can use regular. Premium is just the recommended fuel choice for optimum performance.

Sometimes in your military career, you luck out. That happened to me in 1996 when my unit went to Annual Training. They didn't have enough Humvees for staff officers and commanders to go around, so for the two of us in admin and supply, we got to share a rented Nissan Maxima! Those were two awesome weeks from a driving standpoint, going from the gunnery range at the north end of Fort Riley, Kansas and taking the highway around the base to get to main post. That V-6 is very powerful, yet very smooth and quiet. That sold me on the Maxima, but until now I couldn't afford one. That day is coming in the next six months! If I don't get a hybrid vehicle, a Maxima is at the top of my list of non-hybrids. I'm impressed at how good a Maxima is, even in "base" S trim.
I bought a white platinum 4 months ago and I'm loving it. The infotainment system is great. Just wish it came with power outside mirrors and electronic emergency brake.
Nissan has issued a recall for nearly 5,500 Nissan Maxima sedans from the 2016 model year. According to a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, some of those vehicles may suffer from a manufacturing flaw that could result in a fuel leak.
Did I hear a little melody chime when you started it? I know some cars do that when you either close the door before starting it or right after you start it.

Glad you got the Maxima in for review! We have the previous gen, top of the line with the sport package in the same color.
What is sad is that they don't make a RWD or AWD model with a 6-speed. :/

the Kia optima go against the Nissan altima. the maxima go against the cadenza.
Why do guys crow and rant over bigger wheels? 18" wheels is supposed to impress? Larger wheels only mean expensive tire replacement,and at faster intervals. Add on they don't hold the road and grip as safe as smaller tires.It's the dumbest thing ever(just in front of heated steering wheels)

The"character line" looks like the designer went to lunch and someone took his unfinished copy to production before it was completed.I'm sorry but putting a crease in metal does not equate to "styling"---this is just a Camry/Accord with some crease lines running down the side. Don't overplay the styling---we can see it.
