This is exactly what I needed. Just started a new island and my biggest issue is always making a cohesive design that flows nicely into the next area.
I NEED MORE CUSTOM DESIGN SLOTS!! how do people do it?!?! They have such gorgeous islands and it looks like they have hundreds of custom designs.
Just checking - you bought the upgrade with Nook Miles from the Nook Stop machine in Resident Services, right? The last person who I saw complaining about limited custom designs only had 50 and didn't realize they could get 100 slots total by buying the upgrade.
@@susul.2812 Yeah I did, but thank you so much for making sure. I appreciate that this community looks out for each other like that. I mean I honestly should have enough with the 100, but I see other people's islands and its probably just the way they use them but it looks like they have so so many different designs! Lol it's just me tbh. Ty though. I appreciate that everyone is so helpful. I found as a new player that the AC community is the most generous and the most helpful to new players for sure.
Other than custom designs, there’s also all of the fabric patterns from Sable that you get after she opens up to you from talking to her every day so people who look like they have a bunch of custom designs are probably using a mixture of both custom designs and patterns.
You want more designs that you can reuse instead of having a lot used for only one place.
People usually spread out their designs or just scatter them to make the island look more different. That and different variations of the designs help a lot!

2:45 this is easily one of the best builds ive seen in animal crossing, i love it so much! ty for the video :) i didnt plan my island, instead i just kinda did things if i thought of them in the moment, and because of that, i have a lot of awkward spaces that i dont know what to do with. i ended up putting trees and bamboo in a lot of places, but still a big empty space. this helped a lot. thank you!

I have the worst time trying to connect decorated areas. I have so much empty space on my island I don't know what to do with. It's especially bad because I'm doing a "no terraform" island (because I suck at terraforming).

You know…my island theme is tropical/jungle/kinda magical..I don’t know how to call it..but anyways, I have trouble with the flow of rivers, like the shapes, how to connect them, etc..water terraforming is so difficult🥲 maybe in another video you can inspire us with this kind of stuff too🏝Thank you so much!!

This may be a dumb question but how do you put the fruit on those stands? Go to the time 11:20 to see what I am saying. I have tried to put fruit on them and it wouldn't let me.
