Wow, those dark troopers are no joke. It helps when the black dice don't roll blanks for anything. Gideon is a little squishy but his command cards are really good. Great game!
Thanks for the great game. Those Dark Trooper dice were nuts. This game reminds me of my last game. It took me the entire game to kill 8 Magnaguards, but I popped Dooku in two turns. The Remnant definitely has interesting options with all the weapon swaps. And I hope people give those a good try instead of just Dark Trooper spam.
Imperial Remnant rules look awesome! A friend of mine ihas tested with me the Dark Troopers and dang, those guys are extremely good! Loved the batrep, I always enjoy them

The Remnant Battleforce is wild..... I tried making a list (even though I don't play Empire) and it hurt my brain lol makes me both excited and nervous for the Rebel Endor one!
Dark Trooper look terrifying. Yeah they're expensive when you put the heavies on them, but activating twice makes those heavies mean a lot. For the 180 they cost the way Don brought them two attacks of 8 black crit 1 is fantastic. The Remnent battle force doesn't look like it's going to be as busted as Blizzard force, but they are going to be a fun variant to the normal Imperial play.
The remnants ability to switch heavies around is real interesting. I would love to have that for the 501st, would make those P2s better. But that was some nuts rolling on both sides

The imperial remnant force looks crazy. I'm thinking 3 death troopers with the hh12. Stay out of the range 2 bubble for independent aim, they can recover, shoot range 4 suppressive 8blk every single turn. And pooky is the man.

They announced the remnant on a painting stream, and have an article up with its limitations on their socials now. And I think the mixing is just something cool they could do...it might help sell some upgrade boxes though -Don
the battle forces are a very niche game and financially expensive but it is good to see them being used. i feel the separatist box is the weakest of them all but the droid army never gets much love these days
@@graysquadrongaming8670 well if you've bought 2 core sets which is the recommended option the battle force isn't the best option in my opinion, especially if you play droids. and if you are buying a battle force then you need to know which faction you plan on playing, so it's not really for the in experienced new players. but that's just my view.
Unfortunate for Don that the remnant of his army couldn't make up for Gideon dropping the ball. I think lists without lots of critical or impact in them are really gonna have a hard time dealing with darks. That heavy weapon also really makes them anti infantry monsters, especially since it throws almost as much dice as the rest of the squad on its own. As for the heavy weapon swap ups, I like the idea of running the scouts with the t-21 to make up for their lack of surges, I think similar with the shores might be a smart play. As for the storms, I feel like the dlt-19x's pierce and high velocity and extra range would be really good for them to plink damage to targets with no cover, or maybe the t-21b just because of the quantity of dice and inate precise 1. I think all choices are decent options for them tho, so it would come down to whatever you have space for. Deaths with the sniper sound kinda nasty, trading the dice from the dlt-19d for a decent dice pool with pierce at range 4 is scary, but I could also see the rt-97c or normal dlt-19 for cheaper options as well.

Issue with giving Dark Troopers a dodge is they hardly benefit from it. Your opponent needs critical hits to damage your armor and you can’t use dodges on it. Perhaps it work if your worried about impact.

He is a close range commander, but he can hold his own against other melee units -Don

The battle force box is a great value for a starting player to get into a single faction -Don

So when you have the black sun vigo mini you do not use his cards weapon pool correct? It is just an additional black adn white dice?
As a personal upgrade you just treat his weapon as another black sun trooper, only his stand alone commander card gets the bigger attack pool -Don
