Someone asked who are we to give feedback on others perfromances if we are not musicians ourselves. This is a fair point. Dave just dropped a video for his band Tellers Scribe which he directed the video for. This is an unsigned band and the first song and video from the band but its only right that you can have an opinion on what he does, the same way as he has opinions on what others do. He might not play a faithful cover but he never detract from the original, adding his own twist as well. He does say himself that he puts in a shed load of practice! Very impressive.

He is 1 really great drummer but you have to check out the drummer of slaughter to prevail. He is very good on his set to playing with his sticks backwards. Evgeny Novikov. You will be suprissed by his skills. And by the way they are doing a European tour at this moment.

To be honest, even Lars isn't faithful to his own parts, lol, El Estepario always adds his own color to his covers, and yes his double-kick is to die for.

It's a lot. The guy is incredible, but as much as I hate saying it, I prefer Lars on this. Maybe because it's ingrained in me but this is certain parts is wayyyy too much.
I agree. This is a display of pure skill and i can appreciate that. But Lars' arrangement is fundamental for the overall groove and feel. I dont even think Estepario would disagree, he's a cool dude.
And he also mentions Thomas Lang as maybe the greatest drummer alive, which just makes me respect him even more.
6:00 El Estepario stands for the exact opposite. You should go back to your drum kit after watching the videos and put in the hours. He says about himself that he has zero talent. Every single skill is the result of countless of hours of practicing.
