I wore the saree my mother wore for her wedding. It was authentic Banarsi. Lehengas have been made popular by Bollywood, most cultures used to have sarees as the wedding costume.

I think one of the best things you can do as a bride is *rent* these lehengas, because in the end you are not gonna wear them again in your life. You can buy the dupatta and keep that as a memory. Indian weddings are so expensive these days, court marriage is like the best option.
A friend of mine from Philippines got married and she wore a formal suit from zara on her wedding😂 there wedding was on zoom all their friends and family were on zoom when they both tied knots in front of a government official and signed papers. That has to be the most beautiful wedding I ever attended 😂💕

Nowadays, it's extremely hard for men to find a bride. Let alone sabyaschi🤦‍♂️ Even though modern men refuse to take dowry and are understanding, the girls parents expect men to be youthful, have a 6 digit income, rich family background, a lavish lifestyle and pay the entire marriage cost. One of my friend who had a love marriage , was objected by girls parents and didn't attend the marriage, so he bore the entire marriage cost by taking a loan and his mother told me it cost 20 lakh.
In my own personal experience, I met a girl whose mother was ready to offer 8 lakh dowry and eventhough I refused it and never expected any lands or houses. Her mother later decides "I was not worth the dowry" citing my salary was Rs 30k for a month. And this girl, is crying to me how she misses her ex and put conditions like "No physical intimacy for 2yrs, Entire marriage cost should be borne by me since proposal came from my side etc"
Low quality of modern women who have had multiple affairs in the past coupled with skyrocket expectations of girls parents, eventhough, they hail from humble background has forced modern men to back away from marriage.

Although I'm a woman. I agree with you. I hope you rejected her. She's not a good women to be with. There are so many red flags. Seems like she's getting married just for the sake of financial stability and she will never be fully into you.
Nowadays women have so many expectations while getting married - he should be good looking, understanding, rich, earning in lacs etc. But girl first look at you -do u also earn in lacs, or is it just papa ka paisa?? .. I personally know 2-3 women who had been searching for rishtas from the time they were 22-23 but aren't married yet even tho they are 28-29. They feel their prince perfect will come and marry them. People should understand that no one is perfect.
Also, im telling you, marry a woman who earns atleast 50-90% just as you. So that, if incase you get divorced in future, you aren't doomed becoz she will sue u for alimony and destroy your and your family's lives. Choose wisely. Do not fall for looks as looks will fade away sooner or later.
      Good luck 🤞
