  • These are a couple upgrades available from RCAWD. These are my first look at any RCAWD parts and I have to say I do like them. Specifically the adjustable chain tensioner on the Swingarm!
    Check them out here:

    I do love the chain adjuster. I’m going to save for that one. I haven’t broken anything, so it’s pretty stout, so I like it the way it is, until they break, than I’ll start the aluminum parts.

      Definitely! This bike is awesome as is. The swingarm is cool and saves adjustment time. But none are necessary. I haven't damaged anything yet either. I'm fortunate and appreciate that RCAWD reached out to me to check them out.

    I got the exact same thing you got for mine even the gold sprocket,I was wondering if the little break lever came with it don't look like it good to know I found some aluminum ones in eBay for $10 bucks in colors hope this helps.

    How can I ensure that the rear tires are perfectly aligned after adjusting the tension? Do you think it would be helpful if they had laser-etched hash marks?

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hash marks would help but I just eyeball it or you can measure distance of axle on each side like a real motorcycle. Even on a real bike I was told you can't trust the markings because they are mass production parts so measuring is the best way.

      Same thing I wondered that's why I went with the stock style. Lining up a real dirtbike tire is one thing but doing it at this scale I'd rather have it right by the little inserts. Having this not aligned right I can see it wearing things fast. There's a reason they made it the way they did from the factory.

    AWESOME VID. Would you please do a bash vid ? Do you think the adjustment tabs on the swingarm are sturdy and won't bend? I have a dirt bike and that chain adjustment is the way losi should have made it.

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      will definitely be giving it a run with its new parts. The swingarm seems to be solid and don't see those tabs bending. Not sure why they didn't go for something like this out the box but glad companies are giving us some.

    I just installed my swing arm from RCAWD. I'm slightly disappointed because I'm just about out of adjusting threads. Yours is pretty close to be fully adjusted too I see.

      I actually have a good bit left but this chain needs to be replaced. You want to only correct for stretching just a little bit. If you let it go to far you will wear the sprokets out and then you will need to replaced the sprockets with the chain more often.

    • @rjfetz1
      @rjfetz1 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good bit left? @1:47 you have less than 2 turns left just like mine and my chain is not yet stretched (only 6 runs on it). I'm now hoping it will move forward enough so I can remove a link in my chain when that time comes.

      @rjfetz1 I just tried it and 2 turns its too tight and there is more to go.

    The new weight is down low enough on the bike to not affect it's performance I believe.

    • @RunThatRC

      It actually feels pretty good. But will it survive jumping? I'm waiting on dirt tires now lol. Rear is done.

    I just bought an aluminum swing arm and its heavy, I wish they could shave off some more to reduce weight

    • @RunThatRC
      @RunThatRC  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is heavier than stock but I like the way the bike handles with it.
