    Hands down The toy for Grown Ups in 2023 since the Invention of the Sony Walkman. I have to buy me one of these Moto RC's. ✌🏾

    If you put a rubber band around the servo saver and around the forks it dampens the steering Preventing wobbles coming out of turms and in high-speed runs. It also helps when you land keeping the front end from wobbling after impact on flat ground. It's called the rubber band mod. I came up with it myself. Best modification I've done to the promoto other than removing the training wheels. You basically wrap it around the servo saver and the front forks at the same time. You have to take the front wheel off to get the rubber band all the way around. I use a black rubber band so it's not very visible. 1 inch round and 1/4 inch wide rubberband is the perfect tension.

    Just drove mine for the first time yesterday on a soccer field. This thing is soo fun. Gonna hit some jumps now.

    Bike looks great. It's on my list of "to buy" RC

    I bet you are old enough to remember the kraft street motorcycle how far they have come since then

    Seems like the road mode will be the best mode for just about any surface your on that’s not dirt. The dirt mode gives you the most power but on grass or pavement with high traction it just wants to wheelie.

      My favorite is wheelie mode and managed the throttle myself. Then on any surface the power is there to be had...

      Road mode limits power the most, it cuts power as soon as it tries to wheelie. Wheelie mode is most power

      @@outkast187I’ve had mine for sometime now and you are correct. Road mode cuts power to bring the bike back down but then continues to accelerate faster once the bike sits down. The Wheelie mode is actually the least amount of power bc the throttle cuts at full trigger to control the wheelie. The off road mode has no power shut off at all which requires trigger control on pavement or any higher traction surface. For jumping you want to be in dirt mode.

    Mine came out of the box with a severe left turn bias. Max subtrim the opposite way to get it to go straight but then of course the turn radius to one side is severely limited. I guess I am taking it apart to straighten the steering horn. Not really something I wanted to have to do, especially on this where it seems more breakdown is needed than a typical car. Anyone come across this? or did everyone's go perfectly straight?

      Mine was alittle off. But you can't adjust it while it driving. Your suppose to stop it ever time you move your adjustment

    You have it confused. Dirt mode let's you do all the wheelies you want and all the power you want which can cause itvto loop out. On road mode is what prevents the wheelies by limiting power with the gyro. You have the two confused

  • @Tallguysrc
    @Tallguysrc 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    In wheelie mode the gyro only effects Wheelie angles, modes 1 and 2 the lean

      I find in wheelie mode with a fresh pack 50% will stand the Promoto-MX almost straight up and as you lose power 70% gets you back there

      I've drove it enough in wheelie mode to say it affects both. Turn down the MS6X rate and I can full turn the steering wheel and it def leans less...

    • @outkast187
      @outkast187 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It 100% controls lean on all modes

    Anyone tried it in soft sand? Does it still ride?

    • @think2cre81
      @think2cre81 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes there are some good videos on TH-cam that show guys that made paddle tire and it rips in the sand dunes. Look them up

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it rips on the sand with a paddle tire. J concept is coming out with a rear paddle and a front Mohawk tire for better turning traction.

    I like racing.. just driving on grass is too easy.

  • @matthewolson1295

    In Wheelie mode, I don't think the knob adjusts the amount of lean at all -- I believe if you try it on pavement you'll see that it just adjusts the angle it tries to wheelie at, so you can dial it in to get it just at the balance point of the bike and ride the wheelie longer.

    1 beep off road, 2 beeps on road, 3 beeps is wheelie.

    Dirt is for loser traction areas and doesn't pull throttle like the high traction situations. So dirt won't hold down the front street does.

    • @outkast187
      @outkast187 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, dirt is so it doesnt pull power going up a ramp

    well, youre not in dirt man. grass gives you much more traction then dirt.

    • @chilly7261
      @chilly7261  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct, but that's only part of it. In hindsight, I'm guessing the dirt programming doesn't react fast enough to limit the wheelie angle initially with a burst of throttle on grass. The algorithm loop to look ahead and hold down the front end is calculating based on traction in dirt. I say that because after seeing that flip over backwards, I thought it would do a backflip in dirt mode. Nope, coming up the ramp and punching full throttle, it reacts in time and limits the pitch angle on a jump to the wheelie angle. Just some layman thoughts of mine...
