    Excellent critique. Glad you commented on the roll pin at the hammer and the barrel lockup - those are the 2 biggest complaints I have with this firearm. SAR might also consider using a front sight dovetail that allows an aftermarket solution. Mine may be slightly newer/older - has the graphite color grip panels and magwell, and it does have a detent under the rear sight vertical adjustment screw. It's too bad that CGW stopped support for Caniks - the floating trigger pin for the Canik might have been an option but I haven't been able to find one to try. Keep up the great work, I admire your collection.

      Yeah I’m curious if the grey grips are on a newer or older version of this pistol? My local shop had a couple with grey grips and magwell. I’d love to get my hands on one!

    Just a heads up that Shooting Sports Innovations makes a thumbrest that replaces the slide stop and fits in perfect. You just order the one that fits the Tanfo or Shadow 2 that they have. Also, Henning Group makes a straight trigger for this gun as well. You also order the one for the Tanfo.

    Good morning. Thanks for the review. But I definitely have to laugh. Your criticism of the gun was funny. I'm like, why didn't you just by a Cz Shadow 2. The reason this firearm cost what it does, is because it dosen't have all the stuff you talked about. I just picked up the newest model on Father's Day. The k12 Sport X. Nice gun. I know it's not a Cz. I also picked up a Shadow 2 Orange. Similar, but way different. You definitely see the reason for the price difference.. Apple's to Orange. Their both fruits, but different. I like the K12 sport x for what it is. And I like the Shadow 2 Orange for what it is. For 25$ I'll try those springs you mentioned. Thanks again and have a good one...

      You hit all my hi points. Complaining about screws. This guy is the Ralph Nader of firearms. When he's done the pistol will cost $900.

    I bought an K12 last week and is one of the newer ones with the grey grips and magwell. The rear sight elevation screw does have clicks not audible but you can feel it. Dawson precision fiber optic front sight from a Magnum Research Baby Eagle will work with some fittng. All internal parts are Tanfoglio compatible and LOK grips have grips for the K12.

    • @katanapr3

      @@chrisvids1820 CZ75 magazines work, and I believe Tanfoglio magazines will work as long as they are for a small frame. My Tanfoglio large frame magazines didn't fit.

      @katanapr3 True expert, thanks.
      I'm debating between the K-12 Sport X and the Tanfo Stock l. I'd get the stock l in 10mm, and it's only about $400 more. But if I got the K-12 I would not hesitate to throw Tanfo extreme parts into it or whatever I need to make it completely awesome. Honestly, I'd probably just do that to the tanfo also. It just would be more money. At that point, maybe it's better to just buy a stock extreme 😆. Then again, it would be a good learning experience to tear down a gun and tune it up.
      I guess my question to you is, is the Tanfo really worth the extra money?

    • @katanapr3
      @katanapr3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisvids1820 Tanfoglio will hold its value better compared to the Sar K12 sport. Tanfoglio has better aftermarket support and honestly better quality than the Sar. You can tune the Sar to be a really decent gun, my K12 Sport is running great but next to my Tanfoglio 10mm the difference is night and day. My Tanfoglio groups better and is more accurate than the Sar. I have polished the internals on boths and have upgraded the springs on both so they are pretty much equal on upgrades. I would say get the Sar play with it learn how to modify it and then latter on move up to a Tanfoglio of your choice, either way you're good!

    So I think a better comparison than a CZ would be a Tanfoglio Limited and visually to me the parts on this and the tanfo look identical. I'm willing to bet a Henning SAO Tanfoglio trigger would work in this gun as well as his trigger and hammer pins (as you have to ream the holes to make his pins fit anyway). Interested to know if the tangoflio mags would work in these guns?

  • @Fugettaboutit

    Is the frame width like a CZ Tact Sport or their 75 SP01? I would think the latter because the mags seem to be regular CZ75 mags.

      Saw a couple with the grey grips/magwell in my local gun shop (the regular “Sport” model not the “X” model) and I was curious about that too. So the grey grips are on the newer version of this pistol? Might have to pick one up to try out!

    Hanging any moving component that sees a lot of cycling on a roll pin is not a good thing and probably just a cost cutting method of mfg.

      Not even close: you can find these for $550 & a spring kit + flat face trigger + magwell + holster won't cost $200 combined. A cz shadow 2 or the new black & white sporter model start @ $1k and only get crazier from there.
