When thunderstorms surprise you early in the morning is there a better idea than to have a good practice session? :) There was so much moisture in the air we were literally dripping water. 2019 focus on defense, parry riposte and streichen still strong and going. Some nice exchanges, hope you find the video informative!
It is so amazing. I can't count the times I have watched this video, but what I can see in this video is how I myself have learned so much in the past year. When I first watched this I obviously was amazed, but I didn't see all of the techniques and what was going on. I didn't really get what was even going on. The interesting thing is, I didn't even notice that. I didn't know that I didn't know what was going on. I thought I could see what was happening, but I was wrong. And every time I rewatch this video I see something else that amazes me, some other technique that I didn't get the last time and it is like a journey for me.
Same here, after practising HEMA for one year watching these videos is not only a learning experience but inspiring as well. So cool to realise whats going on and rewinding the video like 10 times to see every exchange
Hi Martin, I know you’ve gotten a lot of gear questions, but this is probably a new one. What shoes do you wear/recommend for HEMA? I’m currently looking into MOF or Asics Volleyball shoes.
Hey, I used all kinds of shoes in my training. I'd say the longest I trained in sport fencing shoes but the last two years I've come back to court/indoors trainers. It's not easy to find one that suits my needs but let's say I'm always looking at weight (should be as light as possible) and the way they overlap the foot. Should be very tight. Some people prefer flatter shoes and some the opposite but that's more subjective. I aim at shoes that are adjusted to sudden direction changes :)

I like your music, which takes a typically tense situation, and makes it seem relaxing, effortless, and fun
Fencing should always be fun :)

Never thought I'd see Buena Vista Social Club and Hema on the same work. Very nice.
Thx u very much for sharing some of your practice sessions, it always pleasure to see how skilled fencer work
Thank you for your kind words!
Other then the quality of fencing itself which is quite easy to see, I really love your form which visibly creates power in a clean way. Cool!
Thank you Federico!
Very nice.👍
Just nice :3

Awesome precision and robot-level technique. Martin, what feders are you sparring with in the video ? They look really responsive.
Thank you very much! We're both using SIGI Forge feders :)
LOL music :))))
Great video! As much as I like and appreciate the music, maybe something a bit, heavier might be more fitting? Like some rock music or something XD
Variety is the spice of life :)
How much is the sword from this video ?
Hello! SIGI Forge feders are 240-250€ in the setups we use in the video
Love your instructional tutorials, Martin. Let’s see more of those and less sparring please! 🤓
Do not listen to this man. More of everything, please!
boooooo, more of both
It is the worst soundtrack in the world
Happy to hear 😊
@@MartinFabian but fensing is the best👌
