I said I would make it didn’t I :)? Well, I started making this over a year ago actually, but scrapped it and started over early this year. I realized I needed to get better at audio editing and editing in general to do what I wanted to here, and I thought if I tried making this immediately back then, it’d just be really similar to the other Meme Megamashups. I wanted to include new meme songs along with all sorts of meme songs from different time periods. It was nostalgic looking back on all those, and it made me realize just how freaking many are out there. I’m still getting into random stuff like Scatman and Touhou YTPMVs today, and judging by the amount of meme songs that come back randomly, I think lots of others are, too. The Internet we’ve built is seriously a vast place, and because of it there’s so much art and inspiration that we can experience. This is kind of my love letter to all of that. Hope ya’ll like it! These aren't just memes. These aren't just songs. These are memories. I can't speak for all, but I'm sure a lot of us went through multiple stages in life watching some of these clips. Through life's ups and downs. Some of us might be thinking, "Hey, I remember that one clip! Yeah that one with this dude doing this and that! Man, I was just a freshman in highschool." I remember some of these clips from my days in elementary school. Now, I've just graduated from university. Time really does fly and it's videos like this that keep me going at times.
The first one was perfect in the way that it started off very strong, as a good collection. Then the second one was perfect in the way that it improved everything, making it absolutely perfect for a rave Then the third one was perfect in that it capped off the trilogy perfectly, sure some things were better in the second one, but this one is even better with the things it has over the second one. Sandwitch Zebra the first one was PHENOMENAL throughout. The second was ok, and there were a few parts that I liked. But as a whole, not as good as the first. Then there is this one... from the crazy drop at 3:45 to the next drop like a minute later, it really keeps you hyped. It is also more densely packed with shit. It is a sensual overload that kinda fits the internet. The rewatchability is insane. Have seen all the trilogy probably 20-30 times by now, and I’m still wrapping my head around everything packed into them. One of my favorite parts of the entire trilogy is in the first one about a minute in, where Renai Circulation, lone digger, and black Beatles all take over, and they work SO WELL. Like, the downshifted Renai with the sped up black Beatles and lone digger coming in... ah. It is just amazing.
God, I remember downloading the first meme mega mashup on a most likely illegal sight in middle school or freshman year during an especially boring class, with my school issued chrome book and my bulky Bluetooth headset that I wore around my neck way too often, I loved it then, still do now, and love almost everything you’ve made. This song invoked a feeling that seems to be a mixture of joy, nostalgia, sadness and excitement... these songs... these video clips... to some they mean nothing, they're simply background noise but to a select few, they're our memories. Memories we didn't know we had. recently I've found a lot of things from my childhood and gotten very mixed feelings about all of it.. nostalgia, joy, sadness... the same feelings that this song gives me, they remind me of a simpler time when my biggest worries were next weeks math quiz, wether or not my brothers would break my house in Minecraft, beating all the gyms in Pokémon white... the thing that seemed to bring back the most was a picture of me and my best friend, stood in front of my old house, laughing like nothing else in the world mattered.... Every year for YT Rewind just get Grandayy Dolan dark Dayman Boyinaband MrBeast And PewDiePie together for a 24 hour period and they could probably make a better rewind that YT itself can in 1 month Grandayy, Dolan, and dayman could come up with memes Dave (boyinaband) could make the music, and MrBeast and PewDiePie can throw it all together and BOOM! A YT rewind that doesnt suck. I'm still waiting for the year that pewds does the **clap** **clap** "year reveiw" at the beginning. Mabye if YT let its creators to it we could have that.
Don't wanna be cheesy or anything but the moment when Scatman John kinda tips his hat to you at 11:13 (yeah I know he doesn't have a hat) is just really heartwarming. Not only because I can imagine the real Scatman John doing something like that but they way how all the music videos are meshed and switched throughout these videos almost seems like everyone from animation to irl have just come together and played their music. They're all dancing, smiling, playing their instruments, it's something that's almost magical. Especially when some look at the side and smile to the other artists. Some are going crazy with the rush, some are just playing and enjoying the moment. I don't know why but it's just really beautiful. Ok I'm done being cheesy now.

Not gonna lie, I was both shocked and pleased to hear Discord play. I'm not a fan of MLP anymore, haven't been in years, but Discord is still a cool character and a good song.
Sunset Skittles mlp was my everything for a good few years and took me out of the then pretty bad social life I had and connected me to a few friends, some of which (one in particular who is my now best friend) I stayed connected to for a long time. The community overall was great but as with all things I outgrew it. I still appreciate the mlp fan base and defend them anytime someone speaks badly about it. Still anytime I see mlp related things and especially the songs a ton of memories flood back to me.

I listened to this on New Years Eve of 2019. Right before it became 2020. The 2010s was my childhood. And saying goodbye to it with this mashup was the best way to go out. We all had no idea what was in store for us. My highschool years was spent in and post the pandemic. But looking back on this, it's like remembering what raised me. The 2010s internet will always be magical for me. Things really have changed.

I said I would make it didn’t I :)? Well, I started making this over a year ago actually, but scrapped it and started over early this year. I realized I needed to get better at audio editing and editing in general to do what I wanted to here, and I thought if I tried making this immediately back then, it’d just be really similar to the other Meme Megamashups. I wanted to include new meme songs along with all sorts of meme songs from different time periods. It was nostalgic looking back on all those, and it made me realize just how freaking many are out there. I’m still getting into random stuff like Scatman and Touhou YTPMVs today, and judging by the amount of meme songs that come back randomly, I think lots of others are, too. The Internet we’ve built is seriously a vast place, and because of it there’s so much art and inspiration that we can experience. This is kind of my love letter to all of that.

Through life's ups and downs. Some of us might be thinking, "Hey, I remember that one clip! Yeah that one with this dude doing this and that! Man, I was just a freshman in highschool." Sandwitch Zebra the first one was PHENOMENAL throughout. The second was ok, and there were a few parts that I liked. But as a whole, not as good as the first. Then there is this one... from the crazy drop at 3:45 to the next drop like a minute later, it really keeps you hyped. It is also more densely packed with shit. It is a sensual overload that kinda fits the internet. The rewatchability is insane. Have seen all the trilogy probably 20-30 times by now, and I’m still wrapping my head around everything packed into them. One of my favorite parts of the entire trilogy is in the first one about a minute in, where Renai Circulation, lone digger, and black Beatles all take over, and they work SO WELL. Like, the downshifted Renai with the sped up black Beatles and lone digger coming in... ah. It is just amazing.

This song invoked a feeling that seems to be a mixture of joy, nostalgia, sadness and excitement... these songs... these video clips... to some they mean nothing, they're simply background noise but to a select few, they're our memories. Memories we didn't know we had. recently I've found a lot of things from my childhood and gotten very mixed feelings about all of it.. nostalgia, joy, sadness... the same feelings that this song gives me, they remind me of a simpler time when my biggest worries were next weeks math quiz, wether or not my brothers would break my house in Minecraft, beating all the gyms in Pokémon white... the thing that seemed to bring back the most was a picture of me and my best friend, stood in front of my old house, laughing like nothing else in the world mattered.... Don't wanna be cheesy or anything but the moment when Scatman John kinda tips his hat to you at 11:13 (yeah I know he doesn't have a hat) is just really heartwarming. Not only because I can imagine the real Scatman John doing something like that but they way how all the music videos are meshed and switched throughout these videos almost seems like everyone from animation to irl have just come together and played their music. They're all dancing, smiling, playing their instruments, it's something that's almost magical. Especially when some look at the side and smile to the other artists. Some are going crazy with the rush, some are just playing and enjoying the moment. I don't know why but it's just really beautiful. Ok I'm done being cheesy now.

Sunset Skittles mlp was my everything for a good few years and took me out of the then pretty bad social life I had and connected me to a few friends, some of which (one in particular who is my now best friend) I stayed connected to for a long time. The community overall was great but as with all things I outgrew it. I still appreciate the mlp fan base and defend them anytime someone speaks badly about it. Still anytime I see mlp related things and especially the songs a ton of memories flood back to me.

I listened to this on New Years Eve of 2019. Right before it became 2020. The 2010s was my childhood. And saying goodbye to it with this mashup was the best way to go out. We all had no idea what was in store for us. My highschool years was spent in and post the pandemic. But looking back on this, it's like remembering what raised me. The 2010s internet will always be magical for me. Things really have changed.
