Hey! On most frameless doors like on the Challenger, you can trick the auto feature on the window by using a screwdriver to push the door latch into the closed position. The vehicle will think the door has been closed and therefore raise the window into the closed position. To release the latch afterwards simply pull the interior or exterior handle. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
Why on the passenger side did you spray the film while on the window, but on drivers side you put it on a board? Are you just showing two different ways to do it?
Hey. There’s no particular reason to do either way. In my garage I only have a cut board on one side so I pulled from that, but rather not carry an exposed film around the car to the other side as it could pick up contaminants. If no cut board available, pulling from the glass side works well and is in close proximity to install for less chances of dust or lint sticking to the tint.
During this first initial install we did not do the windshield. Later however when the car came back for vinyl wrap, we did then… Challenger R/T returns for Tint and Wrap! th-cam.com/video/9UdNwHbdEHs/w-d-xo.html
@@yankeesny28 In this video, the sides and rear had 35% installed. No tint on windshield. When the vehicle returned second time, 5 was placed on sides and rear but only 50 on the front, not 35.
Good luck! A quick tip that will help is really clean the rear glass well as the defrost lines are thicker than many other vehicles and can be tricky to get the tint to lay nicely without bubbling. Also, definitely preshrink the film on the outside of the doors or it’ll want to fight back when trying to lay into the door gasket inside.
To park the window after opening the door simply use a screwdriver or pen to roll the latch on side of the door. That will make the car think the door has shut and it will bump the window up into full position for measuring tint correctly. Does that help?
@@pistolgrip70x A steamer can really help with removing old tint, especially on the rear glass with defrost lines. On the side windows, scraping with a razor blade carefully will speed it up.
@@TunersCanvas I ordered the heat gun along with the spray kit from Amazon I'm going to give it a shot I hope I don't waste any tint rolls on my challenger lol
@@fairfax_fran5109 That’s awesome. There is a bit of a learning curve but if you take it slow and patient the Challenger isn’t too bad. A couple key items will be pre shrinking the side doors and cleaning the rear defrost lines really well with a White Scotch pad or extra fine steel wool. The lines are thick and the tint tends to bubble up if there isn’t really good clean adhesion. Reach out if you have questions or check out some of my other videos where I walk through much more details.
you’re the fakin boss bro i love you
Awesome. Not a lot of detail but hopefully enough to help.
Nice work! Definitely gonna use the roll& feet inside the trunk trick thanks wish me luck lol
You got it! Scrub those defrost lines really well on the back as they’re thicker on the Challenger and tend to give grief.

Appreciate it bud. I’ll be heading into town in a couple weeks. I’ve got a full schedule but if you need something you know I’ll work it in.
Hello, I couldn't figure out how to get the front window to stay up, om a challenger 50. There was no button to push in like you did. Any suggestions?

@@TunersCanvas I tried that, but it didn't work on a Dodge Challenger 50th edition. I thank you for answering.
@@marketingmanics That’s interesting. I wonder why there would be a difference. Sorry I couldn’t help.

How do you get side windows to roll up does ignition have to be on
