How could piyush stay quite when something wrong was going on before his eyes.He could have done the right thing by speaking up when his wife was dealing with the labour wrongly and not after.
Coz Indian men are puppets of their wife's and one can see that she was the one controlling the money by paying the labourer instead of her husband. Definitely a man should be stronger than a woman and a shout from a men should keep a women shut her mouth but it's going other way in India.
At least he would have given him the money without telling his wife.

Why should we keep learning from a situation that necessarily needs to be dear to us that hits us like a hammar? I think it's time to go a step further.
Another suggestion could be for the character, who keeps watching and trying to correct the wrong, to make their presence felt immediately and not let things get worse.
