I loved ark because of the base building, I need to try this game out too. A much calmer experience I would imagine compared to dinosaurs and ppl always trying to kill you 😂😂

You'd start on the third level of your tree house only to find that walls, floors, ceilings, windows won't snap to each other because some wall two floors down wasn't flipped or snapped to the correct point out of eight snap points. It was maddening. I hate that game.

I build in Ark... I like these mechanics better... it offers the ability to frame out your work... AND no 50% resource list to undo and redo. Also, here you can terraform... makes a HUGE difference.
Have you put crops 'underground'? I'm thinking of trying a semi hidden farm. Cut out the top of a rock or boulder and try to grow something inside. Cover the hole with iron grates and portal inside 🤷♂️ (Perhaps with the plant everything mod / berry bushes) 🤔
Anytime I try a subterranean build I can only dig it as a sheer cliff all the way up, unless I dig under a copper ore...which I have resorted to for now 😅. What am I missing?
@@alexjxn6329 It's important to know that you can only dig 8 meters below the starting point of the terrain. So whether you're on the shoreline or up on a mountain you can start digging and go down a total of 8 meters before it stops you. You'll want to use that information to scout out a good area with rocks that doesn't require you to dig too deep to get the desired results.
@@blurghgitty3000I believe there is a way to double that, but one side has to higher and the other side lower. So you can technically squeeze 16 meters with the right conditions.
@@Tibor716 For the sake of getting videos done and out a lot of people will use devcommands. Is it possible without them? Absolutely. I kinda jumped around in the video a bit but I didn't see a single thing that isn't achievable without devcommands. The issue is in the difference in time that it takes. When you take into consideration having to acquire all the resources, placing everything with less than ideal angles (basically not having the ability to fly), and having to deal with constant enemy attacks it really boosts up the build time. If you're actually interested in watching someone acquire all of those resources then you're watching the wrong kind of video, this is a build video not a playthrough or a guide.

Digging out a shelter under a boulder is an art. Especially in survival where there are no take backs.

You have to dig under the Big Rocks. If you dig in the ground, you only dig down. But if there's a stone, you can dig under it.
