Great work, hard to believe it is a re mix, sounds full and the instruments and voices so distinct. I met the brothers in 1976 as I worked with the wife of one of them In Cycle Hut in Suitland, Maryland. They were warm and kind people, best of memories.
This is one of the best remixes i've ever heard. Sounds like an original stereo recording from the day. You must have put a lot of work into this. Congratulations.
WOW!! Thanks so much for the sound, the fun, the memories and those old cars! The dances, the clothes and oh so much more. This has always been on of my favorite songs, and this was my era! Love you for giving me, as well as so many this mix!
Marie Deval Yes we were young, and love meant every bit as much to us then any adult. And we knew how to love this music. It was every bit a part of me, this music, and still is today at just turned 71 two days ago. Music with a beat is and always was my high - never needed any- thing else. And I loved these guys and their music!
terry wheatley Terry, Greetings and seems we both appreciate great music ! Did you realize that the year this song was a hit, was the same year the Army installed the Brea Hills Nike Hercules Nuclear tipped missile site ? I never realized that this top secret facility even existed until just recently. Terry, you take care. Jim Busbin
What a terrific piece of audio/video work! While these guys were not rock and rollers, their song hit like an atomic bomb, showing up on radio stations day and night all over the country. WHEN was an instant hit, a song we "grew up with", forever etched in our hearts and minds. Much appreciated!
Casi dos añitos de edad en 1959, gateando y andando trataba de entonar este hermoso tema que mamá escuchaba desde la Grundig en la cocina. Un saludo desde Chile ! When !
This remix, in stereo, is nothing short of astounding. The original sounds quite lifeless in comparison, yet the integrity of the song remains absolutely intact. You deserve an award from... someone for your work. You have also dropped/ added frames here and there to keep the sync correct. In short, amazing, thrilling results. This recording now sounds as if it were recorded yesterday.
many thanks capt tim, i really enjoyed mixing it, and liked the instro/ backing track so much that felt i had to include the dubs etc after the first mix
I was a DJ at WKIX in Raleigh in the 60's and could not find this song to play. I love what you've done with the mixing to create a truly stereo, full bodied song. You work has paid of handsomely. I love it.
They sounded that way the last time i heard them sing it, bout 6 Months before Hal passed away, then not even a year later, Herb joined him, sad, but cool to think that the entertainment in heaven is far better than what we have now!
The very first song I ever recorded with my new cassette tape recorder off of WMOD 98.7 while I was at my Big Grandma’s house in Bryan’s Rd Maryland summer 1970.
excellent work, you are really magician....I remember this song from my original country of birth (communist country), in different language (Czech), Beautiful...
I have this on a 78 that's been played to death although it still sounds good for a 78 so to hear this without the familiar hiss and crackle is wonderful. have you also done three o'clock thrill ?
I too had this on a 78rpm as a child and as you will know the 78's only lasted max 2 minutes. Three O' Clock Thrill was on the other side. I only had 5 records, Connie Francis Stupid Cupid, Last Train to San Fernando, Emile Ford and the Checkmates and The Everly Brothers. I must have driven my parents mad playing them over and over. I have an eclectic taste in music now but these favourites are still played via cd. Continue to enjoy your music Mr. Lawrence.
This is a song you cannot sit still to. Have to at least snap your fingers, tap your feet, move your body. Great sound johnreynolds71. Work your magic on some other classics please.
1980 the year Stan stopped drinking still sober today took to rock and roll still singing and jiving round my living room just need a young lady that’s on the same wave link Rock And Roll STAN
A 1958 Plymouth. Hmm, there's a certain Arnie Cunningham driving along to this song in a Plymouth like that in a book by a certain horror author. Coincidence?
Hi John, That is Great!!! You did a wonderful job with it. You must feel the same way about that song as I do. It must have taken quite a bit of time to put it together. Tom

Great trip back in time! Nothings better than the view of the road over long hood, and a mixture of oldies and big engine sound on a lazy cruise...
These oldies are so much better than today's music ❤️🎶 hope I hear lots more.
Fantastic. Wonderful memories of a fabulous era. 👌

the 1958 red Plymouth is a wink to christine book?
The original filmers just could not fit their heads in that camera range for some reason! Great job, Id like to see more by you.
ouvia essa musica no final dos anos 50, e a encontrei novamente nos anos 90 pelo youtube, grande satisfação e continuei ouvindo até hoje 25.05.2021
The first 45 I ever bought. This was on the Laurie label
❤50's poetry❤
Very good stereo creation. A real shame about the flat spot at 42 secs which spoils it.
