      I read elsewhere that his family has a history with fixing juries. If so then I think the egg lady was there to ensure a hung jury or mistrial.

    • @VinsHourOne
      @VinsHourOne ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What other crimes did he get away with? His financial crimes could have been prevented much earlier if someone was strong enough to stand up to him and call him out. No one did because at first his crimes were easily managed like all financial crimes. His last name dictated who can talk to him and who stays away. I believe his addiction was a means to cope with the stress of said crimes.

      I think the egg lady was caught trying to mess up the case. The court was WAY to polite. I hope she's investigated in the near future and criminally charged if she was being nefarious. Or perhaps being known as the Low Country's loser will be enough reprimand

    Am's lawyers are horrible. One is an old, bumbling, rambling "big shot"... and this one is driving me nuts. I've watched the entire court case, except for this last bit: the defence team's closing argument. I followed the state's closing argument with ease, but the defence's team's closing argument is like scratching nails on a blackboard. I'm seriously feeling sick. The lies (ie Alex's) he's perpetuating - 🤢🤮. How evil or brainless some lawyers have to be. Does he not believe what he's saying, this the rush & disjointed manner? The state's case is sound & very plausible. I wonder if the jury felt as over-it now with this guy as we're feeling. And by far the worst witness was AM himself - that was 2 days of pure torture listening to that lying, entitled, man-baby whining away, making up more & more lies as he went. Oh well, only a little more to watch. At least I know the outcome already. (Yay to the jury & their decisions!) Anyway, I press on listening to this nonsense from the defence lawyer...

    The defense will surely appeal this verdict. The prosecutor should try to get a little more evidence, if possible. The defense especially latched on to Maggie's phone, so now proper documented tests and not just a witness to tell how he threw the phone by himself. Similarly, it would be worth thinking about getting more information about Alex's car if possible. You should also try to look for clothes and other things.

    • @FathomlessJoy

    The biggest problem with our justice system is jurors not doing their job...in order for a jury to convict someone of a crime the prosecution is supposed to have to prove the defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt...the prosecution in this case showed that Alex Murdaugh probably did commit these murders...however they did not prove that he did it beyond a reasonable doubt and the jury convicted him anyway...probably isn't good enough when you are talking about locking someone in a cell and depriving them of their freedom...beyond a reasonable doubt is the standard and that standard was not met in this case and it is not met in a lot of cases where there are convictions

    1. The trial is in South Carolina they can argue that the jurors are too close and could have prejudice based on how they feel about Alex for various reasons.
    2. They combined so many things with this case. I understand why you would bring up the deaths of smith and beach but that’s different and it could have been one of his sons. His younger son with the beach case for example.
    Those are just two examples of why I see this not being an end all be All case. Not defending this man in any way Ijs
