The harm he did from stealing should get him the same life sentence so who cares if he killed them too. Those are all felonies. We should hold those who know better and given every advantage to a higher standard and responsiblity not less!
I was so unimpressed with this defense attorney. The other of Alex’s lawyers seemed far more prepared and knowledgeable in the courtroom. I wonder why they decided to have this one do closing arguments. I know they asked the court if they could both argue, and the Judge said no, but out of the 2 defense attorneys, this one just ain’t it for me. He’s not who I’d want trying to convince a jury to let me go free.
What I wasn’t sure about but believe the entire jury realized…Alec was a lawyer and obviously a liar. He manipulated, stole from, lied and covered up so many horrible things he did for many years! Being a lawyer…he knows about how to manipulate/cover up evidence like all the phone usage.
I doubt comments in a chat about an attorney has any bearing on appeals. Seldom do they get a new trial for ineffective counsel and especially when you’ve hired them and are not public defenders who are free to the defendant
Am's lawyers are horrible. One is an old, bumbling, rambling "big shot"... and this one is driving me nuts. I've watched the entire court case, except for this last bit: the defence team's closing argument. I followed the state's closing argument with ease, but the defence's team's closing argument is like scratching nails on a blackboard. I'm seriously feeling sick. The lies (ie Alex's) he's perpetuating - 🤢🤮. How evil or brainless some lawyers have to be. Does he not believe what he's saying, this the rush & disjointed manner? The state's case is sound & very plausible. I wonder if the jury felt as over-it now with this guy as we're feeling. And by far the worst witness was AM himself - that was 2 days of pure torture listening to that lying, entitled, man-baby whining away, making up more & more lies as he went. Oh well, only a little more to watch. At least I know the outcome already. (Yay to the jury & their decisions!) Anyway, I press on listening to this nonsense from the defence lawyer...
One vital part about the evidence in this case is the eye opening fact that China knows our every move. His steps How fast he was driving His perimeter of existence. The ability to retrieve every text and call. Balloons in the sky are our least worry. The investigation team may not have done their job, but China did there’s.
With a defense pointing out the prosecution's case and including crass terms like blew them away....if Alex wasn't guilty then his defense pointed it out. Alex had no defense. In his interviews he was off. All that had bobbing when lying, it wasn't going to be different. Again, his defense closing arguments were horrendous!!! They should be ashamed. It probably looked ok on paper.
Rest in peace to the ones who were killed in this horrible train of horror. I’m just honestly confused why he’s comparing this to sport or using sports as a reference ? Who was he planning on getting sympathy from with that….his whole testimony was full of flaws and honestly just a round about way of talking.
He is trying to draw an analogy of reasonable doubt, because most of us never sit on a jury in a murder case. Cleary you are a prosecutor's dream juror.
I would never pay that much for a defense attorney who’s closing argument sounds like this…… un prepared and not to the points ……. These jurors sat through all this testimony all ready highlight what you want me to know and make it sound powerful and convincing I don’t want here a bunch of uh and and corrections like you don’t know what your talking about! It should be organized in a way that is easy to follow and makes the conclusion of what your saying make sense I don’t want to hear about the phone and then the kennels and then the phones again and then the gps then what sled did or didn’t do on this and move on to something else then go back to sled not doing their job NO make it easy layout what has been proven that the state didn’t do how it effected the turn out of their case what they lied to the grand jury about and what the state keeps saying and how it differs from what they can prove to much information that doesn’t make impact !!
I think also there wasn't much to argue. The video is hard to argue, so we need to dance around about other nonsense. I'm sure AM was just shaking with wanting to stand up and do the closing himself.
@@Carolina-uf2ip yup sure have, I’m not turning in a work assignment or writing an email , letter etc. it’s a TH-cam comment get a life! And your right it has multiple periods in it not just a single one punctuation patrol 😂🤣
The defense will surely appeal this verdict. The prosecutor should try to get a little more evidence, if possible. The defense especially latched on to Maggie's phone, so now proper documented tests and not just a witness to tell how he threw the phone by himself. Similarly, it would be worth thinking about getting more information about Alex's car if possible. You should also try to look for clothes and other things.
They need to go to GM and get that On Star data. That alone would solve this case, one way or another. If it shows Maggies' phone moving with AM's car, GUILTY. If not, NOT GULTY. Quite sus that the prosecution and all the state LE could not get GM's compliance of this simple request for a $100K vehicle.
The biggest problem with our justice system is jurors not doing their job...in order for a jury to convict someone of a crime the prosecution is supposed to have to prove the defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt...the prosecution in this case showed that Alex Murdaugh probably did commit these murders...however they did not prove that he did it beyond a reasonable doubt and the jury convicted him anyway...probably isn't good enough when you are talking about locking someone in a cell and depriving them of their freedom...beyond a reasonable doubt is the standard and that standard was not met in this case and it is not met in a lot of cases where there are convictions
So if there isn’t a camera or an eye witness when you murder someone you must walk free! Anyone with a brain and common sense that watched this trial from beginning to end agrees with the verdict.. of course there are people in this world that send love letters to convicted murderers … So I get it. Not everyone in this world is bright!
Had to do that to make out he believed in Alex's innocence and couldn't stand the thought of another wrong being done. Sounded as genuine as Alex's shows of emotion
The defense made some excellent points, nervous or not. The blood on his T shirt was not human blood. If he did take Maggie’s phone, why didn’t he answer the texts he was sending her to affect the time line? He was not scurrying around he was walking 1 step a second. How could he clean up himself, the grounds and the guns in such a short time and leave not one iota of evidence that he has washed everything down.
Something is up or wrong with Buster. To be void of any emotions at all is very telling. What say you. Is he a mini-me of his dad and maybe a second shooter? Dad tells him he will get all the estate and life insurance when he dies of old age and he won’t have to split it up. Maybe Buster is also doing drugs and was dads drug companion. This could be why so much money went to drugs.
I think buster has a drug and gambling problem just like his father. His father stated he had more in common with buster than he did Paul. Buster speaking to his father on a jail call mentioned his mother and brother and he addressed them as " the murder victims" not Mum not Paul not paw paw not ma ma. But the murder victims. That told me a lot about buster and I wouldn't put a ring of any kind on my finger from that guy. Definitely his father's son
He got his own potential murder case and his once wealthy and powerful father is going to prison. On top of everything I doing think sled is going to be so accommodating as they were with Paul and Alex. He is probably phucked if he is considered a prime suspect.
What an abysmal mess these closing arguments were for his pal ALEX, not Alec. Although his last name is spelled differently, there is an actor named Alec Murdock. How utterly amusing. This attorney also sealed the prosecutions case. I believe all of this was AM's next devious plan of action and distraction.

@@LeNomEstYves Like the whole family are in on this so that they can put all these mysterious deaths and financial stuff behind them and Alex said he would take the blame for it and they murdered two strangers who would look like the wife and son.
I don't think so either my theory is he paid the girls family so much for her death in the boat accident to save Paul he couldn't let the attorneys blame her friends or family for Paul's murder yet they did it anyway and Maggie was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I do not think this case is over. 1. The trial is in South Carolina they can argue that the jurors are too close and could have prejudice based on how they feel about Alex for various reasons. 2. They combined so many things with this case. I understand why you would bring up the deaths of smith and beach but that’s different and it could have been one of his sons. His younger son with the beach case for example. Those are just two examples of why I see this not being an end all be All case. The harm he did from stealing should get him the same life sentence so who cares if he killed them too. Those are all felonies. We should hold those who know better and given every advantage to a higher standard and responsiblity not less!
HE WAS FOUND GUILTY ! JUSTICE
His attorneys only did what Alex wanted.
He stuttered through the whole two hours. I couldn’t sit here and listen to it all.
Thank 🙏🏻this evil wife and child killer was brought to justice ❤️
I watched this live and I actually thought he was having a stroke.
That football refence was rough... Lol he started one way and went the other
This is one of the worst closings I have ever heard. Perhaps younger lawyers who understand technology would do the trick. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
What I wasn’t sure about but believe the entire jury realized…Alec was a lawyer and obviously a liar. He manipulated, stole from, lied and covered up so many horrible things he did for many years! Being a lawyer…he knows about how to manipulate/cover up evidence like all the phone usage.
We mustn’t talk too badly about the defense. We don’t want to give AM a reason to appeal on grounds of a poor defense.
I doubt comments in a chat about an attorney has any bearing on appeals. Seldom do they get a new trial for ineffective counsel and especially when you’ve hired them and are not public defenders who are free to the defendant
The defense did a horrible job.
I wonder if he would prosecute the fraudulent "law enforcement "for its criminal activities. 🤔
Did anyone else see Paul’s autopsy photo during the live?? I noticed it pretty quickly
He went straight down to the kennels after visiting with his parents because he knew exactly where Paul and Maggie were.
Interesting speculations are still only speculations.
Kudos to the prosecution
Yall said the something during the Central Park 5....as usual...whatever your dirty cops SAY YOU BELIEVE .
Law and Crime, always with the legal clutch. Long live L&C Network 😂❤
His steps
How fast he was driving
His perimeter of existence.
The ability to retrieve every text and call.
Balloons in the sky are our least worry.
The investigation team may not have done their job, but China did there’s.
And still the one exculpatory set of data (the On Star data) was no where to be found.
Those iPhones got the job done. China baby !!
The one and only time I'm thankful for insta gram. Thank God Paul solved his own murder.
Snapchat
Did he lay in wait for Paul from inside the feed room?!
The evidence indicates no
he drove up on the golf cart.
They lost this case immediately when Alex took the stand.
Mr Griffin isn't a criminal lawyer by trade is he? I thought they where mostly civil litigation attorneys?
Creighton wins 😂
You ever hear of punctuation? Your long comment has not one single period in it
@@Carolina-uf2ip yup sure have, I’m not turning in a work assignment or writing an email , letter etc. it’s a TH-cam comment get a life! And your right it has multiple periods in it not just a single one punctuation patrol 😂🤣
He didn’t take Paul’s phone because the battery was dead
This is the worst defence ever did he really say he would have used the phones together because that would have been the best way 🤨😒
He should go with his client to prison if he feels so bad. Alex rot
RIP Maggie and Paul 😢 they are the victims in all this and it’s so sad that their lives were cut short ! 🙏😢
According to you
I agree
So if there isn’t a camera or an eye witness when you murder someone you must walk free! Anyone with a brain and common sense that watched this trial from beginning to end agrees with the verdict.. of course there are people in this world that send love letters to convicted murderers … So I get it. Not everyone in this world is bright!
Well any reasonable person knows that he is the only one that could have committed it. He LIED about being there.
Thankfully the majority felt they proved their case well beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore he has been rightly found Guilty.
They said they will file an appeal in 10 days😏
hmm, two crying lawyers. I understand the garbage feeling sorry for himself, but what was Griffin crying about?
@@kimrayner4660 I'm going to see if I can find that recording you speak of. If that's true then that is spooky
He got his own potential murder case and his once wealthy and powerful father is going to prison. On top of everything I doing think sled is going to be so accommodating as they were with Paul and Alex. He is probably phucked if he is considered a prime suspect.
It's a little late - they found him guilty on all counts hours ago... you might wanna catch up 😂
Yet you are here...
Unfortunately Aleck took a stand. You should have protected him from the beginning. Lots of evidence from his own testimonies. Rest in jail 😂😢😮😊
T The M- Rna technique is very dangerous and the spike proteins are very lethal.
When Jim says , “ and my friend Paul” he was speaking from the heart. He was representing him in the boat case.
🙏🏻 thank you now Maggie and Paul RIP ❤️
Jim did great!!
Prosecutor did a good job I thought by creating reasonable doubt ! That’s all he needed to do and he did that ! I prefer his voice also ! The defence lawyer sounds slow Asf sorry
It's the defense's job to create reasonable doubt, not the prosecution
@@cynthiaconnors183 ohhhh 🤣
@41:34 WOW
very suspicious but not conclusive evidence!
What if it's all a hoax and Alex took the bullet for his family? Maybe the two people were not actually Maggie and Paul?
Wtf are you on dude? I hope this is sarcasm. If not I feel sorry for you.
@@LeNomEstYves Like the whole family are in on this so that they can put all these mysterious deaths and financial stuff behind them and Alex said he would take the blame for it and they murdered two strangers who would look like the wife and son.
@@AbcXyz-lv5iv you okay?
Omg, like who would those people be? You’re a typical conspiracy theorist, makes no sense and you’re convinced you’re right
He did a lot of bad things, but he's not a killer. God help him
Thankfully they didn't have a Slow Poke who can't connect the dots on that Jury.
I don't think so either my theory is he paid the girls family so much for her death in the boat accident to save Paul he couldn't let the attorneys blame her friends or family for Paul's murder yet they did it anyway and Maggie was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
@@Curiostygotthecat huh?
@@ksf9729 I see that reading is not a strong suit of yours
@@ransom6892 why are you being mean? All I said was "huh?"
Not defending this man in any way Ijs
Ps I understand the guns and the crazy evidence but I’m speaking about court and how someone could argue why retrial may be needed. And there are many ways he could “try it” In this case.
When is the last time you saw a STATE trial moved out of state?
I know a couple who knew AM and MM, they’ve said Alex is waaay too soft to kill. Period.
Yet he went out and even planted areas to lure animals in so he could sit and kill unarmed animals who came in to eat the food he planted. Yep definitely a real softy. Oh and let's not forget the dogs caged up hours on end and brought out to hunt and kill but if they barked ti much he put shock collars on them. Yep a real softy. I'd hate to meet any person your friend reckons it violent by nature if Alex is a softy.
I live in the area. This couple is lying to you.
@@kimrayner4660 I’m not debating animal care. I’m relating what was told. You’re “barking” up the wrong tree.
