Speech is a weird thing, man. For example, I only stutter in my native language.
Singing is, if my 2kb brainpower isn't failing me like it tends to, done with a different part of the brain from singing. And brains work really fucking weirdly.

One of Hajime's lines in Shunkan Heartbeat is even kind of a tongue twister and she does it flawlessly

I think the most confusing part about Banchou's accent is how she can turn "s" sounds into "t" sounds (technically its a sharp "th"). She also turns "sh" sounds into "j" sounds and "r" sounds into "d" sounds, which is how we got "JDon".
She must also be part cat cause she turns all "na" sounds into "nya".
She is too cute, I could listen to her all day.

Your observations are accurate.
I find it difficult to understand her Japanese because of her dialectal accent.(s=t,th n=nya etc..)
The accent can be eliminated by being aware of it in singing and fast speech.
Therefore, the first time you see her, you will feel a gap.
Hajime admitting the sins of her could not be understood? but we got sakura miko...
It's ok for non native speakers not to be understood tho.

She’s saying (or at least trying to) say “ureshii”, which would more directly mean “I’m happy,” but I tweaked it to what you see on screen to fit something that sounds like “Old Mister” in there to make Marine’s misunderstanding make sense

She's trying to call Marine "sister" because she is a nun, but she can't say it clearly, so it sounds like she's calling her an old man...

Pretty sure she's saying "嬉しい" (Ureshii) or "I'm happy"
She is, I just couldn't see a way to translate 嬉しい into a word that could be misheard as a translation of おじさん, so I had to take some liberties with the meaning to make the English make sense

Oh man its such a cute animation! But there is one mistake in the translation. I think Hajime says "Ureshi"(Happy) in her babu language, which turns into "u-je-chi-ya". And That is what sounds like "Ojichan"(Grandpa). I can't blame you though, it is very difficult to understand her XD
I know, but in order to make the mishearing make sense, I had to switch up which word turned into what. If I had directly translated it, I would need to explain the jump in a separate note or cram the original Japanese in the subtitles.
Good on you for noticing, but this is an intentional choice and what makes problem solving in translation so interesting to me

Font is also cutoff sometimes when its placed low to the video, and sometimes the bottom of the letters are cut off when placed high in the video.
