EREMITORIO DE SABADÍA (SANTO ADRIANO - ASTURIAS) A VISTA DE DRON

El eremitorio de Sabadía, en el concejo asturiano de Santo Adriano, fue construido en la década de los años 60-70 sobre los restos de un antiguo molino. Esta singular edificación se encuentra semioculta por la espesa vegetación y desprende magia y misticismo.

My wife and I considered buying this place. The building certainly looks magical but once inside you see how small and stark it is. The living room is suited to prayer or deep meditation with the bonus of the ancient small TV mounted on the wall. Although "modern" with an actual toilet, running water, electric hob and refrigerator, it requires care to climb the stone stairs. A tipsy misstep could be fatal. The room upstairs has a small fireplace directly beside the bed, with a choice whether to place your head or feet next to it. At least a part of you can stay warm. From the porch (roomier than the house itself) the walled garden & well are atmospheric.
To us it seemed best for an extreme escape from the world or for a very private honeymoon. It requires crossing over another property to reach it, however, so stay on good terms with the neighbors!
