- Cowley Bridge Junction demonstration lever frame is based upon the real junction signal box that once sat near Exeter station, the original demonstrator was mobile but after a number of years upon the travelling circuit it was time for a refurbishment and an upgrade, which save to say took over a decade to complete.
The layout now resides at the museum at Romsey Signalbox and is operated thanks to the Friends of Romsey Signalbox on selected open days to the general public.
Our thanks again goes to the volunteers who showed us around during their 2023 June public open day.
He’s a bit heavy handed with those bells!! Nice bit of kit,I wouldn’t mind it in my shed.
I wouldn’t mind the shed 😁
I was the person operating in the video and the bells don't actually register if you don't beat them like there's no tommorow 🤣
@@jossknight9274 was a good day that. Thanks to everyone for the chance to see what you do too 👍👍👍
@@jossknight9274Thats what Charlie said when he live streamed himself operating it in a VC lol
Amazing!
Not sure if that's unique, but in Germany we have a whole bunch of historic systems still online. Partly because we can't modernize the whole network at once. Partly because it just works.
If you’ve any photos or video please feel free to share. Especially any heritage signalling 🤗🤗🤗
