Kind of surprised that Kevin wasn't absolutely stunned by Tuscan Leather. I'm not the biggest Drake fan but that is one of my favorite, if not, my absolute favorite beat of all time. Unreal production
I legit lost the apettite to watch the rest of the album react for that exact same reason; was expecting more of a "wow" reaction for him. But still, some songs might seem weird, bad, or even just "good" first time listening, but once your brain is comfortable to accept new sounds and melodies, it realises the true beauty. This album came out right as I got out of an extremely toxic relationship. This album did more than I realized for me. The upbeat tracks got me feeling excited for something and the more “in his feels” Drake let me get out some shit. This album is special for me and will forever be my favorite because of what it did for me. Glad to see it still getting love this long later.

The one thing I can say about NWTS and Take Care to differentiate them from one another is that Take Care sounded like its era that it came out in whereas NWTS sounded like nothing out at that time. I believe NWTS to be his best album partly because none of the production sounds outdated or a product of its era
100 % agreed. sometimes i feel like people sleep on this heavily. the only opener track which gives me some similar feeling is JAY-Z's December 4th. these 2 tracks are like 2 sides of one coin i would call "success". Tuscan Leather is that "i still have shit to prove" type of vibe and December 4th is more like "i've finally made it" type of feeling. those two tracks are probably my favorite album openers of all time and 2 of the most slept on album openers in general.
