    • @janetsavage2144

      Anna...you need to have a machine called a die cutter, lots of them on the market. Then you feed the die and the card/paper through it either manually or electric and the shape is cut for you.There are also lots of album making tutorials on you tube, with or without a die cutter. Hope this helps x

      Hi Anna, I'm here late but wanted to let you know that all of the papers and dies I used can be found here on Scrapbook.com. For this album, the pages are cut on paper cutter while all the embellishments, pockets, flowers, mini pages and spine are cut from dies. For this 6" x 6" album I used these items -
      Papers:
      Christmas in the Country - Prima Paper Pad
      Bazzill Pomegranate Splash

      Bazzill Quicksand
      Bazzill Natural
      Dies:
      Woven Trellis Side Pocket (used inside)
      Grand Vaulted Cabinet
      (used inside)
      Decorative Spine
      (used on Outside - Spine)
      Cinch and Go Poinsettias
      (flowers used to embellish cover)
      Universal Spine (used on Outside to make spine)
      I hope this helps :-)

    Question? I’ve been making mini albums and make the outer spine, front and back cover out of chipboard. Would chipboard work attached to the die cut out of cardstock?

    • @beccastamps
      @beccastamps 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Deborah, I hope I've understood your question. You can indeed use chipboard on your front and back cover. Or you can do as you've said and attach your die cut pages to chipboard. You can likely cut the Universal Spine from light weight chipboard but it would be very stiff. I like to use 80lb paper or less for the spine to make it a little more fluid. You can cut from 110lb paper and above, but again it make it quite stiff. Hope this helps!

      Hi Sherry, I noticed that as well and had a little laugh at myself. I have to say that under the glare of the lights, with so many cameras and so many people flitting about, reminders to stand up straight, smile , look at the camera - my mind went into overload and the wrong word exited my mouth. Lol, where was I when they were teaching left and right? Thanks for your kinds words - I'm so glad you liked the album and hope you'll give them a spin :-)

    Will this die work with chipboard?

    • @beccastamps
      @beccastamps 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Linda, the die should work with a light chipboard but will really depend on which die cutting machine you are trying to cut with. I will say the spine is best made from 80lb paper or less to keep it fluid. If you are able to do with chipboard, it would be very stiff. It's worth a try - I think I'll do that and if I find out anything I'll leave you another comment :-)

    • @craftereverafter
      @craftereverafter 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beccastamps I guess I was wondering about making the spine and the front and back panels from the chipboard...sort of like a "real" book?
