Works like Lacrimosa affirm the truth of human potential. Yes, it’s sad that few in this life acknowledge or approach that potential. But it’s there and we need to be reminded and encouraged.

Maybe the violin isn't quite there with the lamentation slash moaning motif intended for the part (let's remember this is a funerary chant; a réquirem, after all) but the voices absolutely make up for it

Mozart did some work that is so timeless that it could have come out today. This is one of those pieces.
Now about this live recording. Thank God that it was, the zombies are very bad at this sort of singing.
