Ahh man, I used to serve at Green Mill, Bible-sized menus and it was mother's day. Terribly staffed kitchen meant not one plate made it out before a 45 minute wait.
The table I was serving told me that I (the server, personally) ruined Mother's day for 3 generations of moms. Then they left me less than the tab's cost in cash and told me "you can cover the rest" (it was like a few bucks but still)

These stories are all relatable across any sort of customer service based gig. Anyone who's had a customer facing job, or even a call center type thing all have these stories of the general public being mostly okay at best, but then there's these types that get off on being awful to people they deem "lower" than them. Shit, the last day of a customer service gig when you move onward and upward is one of the best feelings there is.

7:31 it astounds me how many people come in and eat where I work and tell me they’re in a hurry….we’re a scratch kitchen, everything is home made and made to order so we don’t have anything that’s ready to serve. We’re as fast as we can be but it’s an average of 20 to 25 minutes to make your food but if it’s 6:30 at night and there are 40 tickets in front of you then it’s gonna be longer. And customers can not understand this concept

The stories I have are nearly infinite and in number and astonishment. From the family that let their toddler take a dump under the big top table they were at to the ones who insist that tilapia is a vegetable. I worked in a pompous downtown restaurant and did the “Fuck it I QUIT” move on a busy Valentine’s Day dinner rush. I still get chubbs thinking about it.

You know, the selfishness you exhibit is exactly the selfishness that you experienced from other people. Way to keep it going.
      That last sentence was sarcasm.

Imagine being rude to this guy at a restaurant.
    Few years later
Scroll through netflix and see him in Billion's and then his own comedy special.

There's no way I could have a conversation with a comedian unless it's specifically about this service industry hell, like war veterans bonding.

I was a short order cook in the middle of a golf course for a summer job. Would absolutely get in arguments with annoying customers. The owners weird son tried telling me to wipe down a table. Told him to F off. Got a talking to for that 😂.

I’m 29 gave up my career to be a dad first.
Been working part time in the service industry and it’s the fucking worst shit ever.
I’m so happy I can be there for my kid but the shit I have to go through to make a 20% tip is absolutely insanity.

I love the war stories of "industry" people. Its always very clear they never roofed in july or rode hay wagon in august or cleared timber in january. Yea people can be rude, but you can avoid it by not being a tip worker
