i am more into other styles of dance like robot, waving, popping, boogaloo etc. but even though I practise a lot at breakdance I find it really hard to do certain moves. This is honestly the best breakdancing tutorial I've ever seen.
This is great, I keep seeing the other dancers free styling while doing footwork and it looks amazing and I'm on the ground doing a move but not with the kind of variations and changes I can see them doing. Thanks!
Metal (and Vincanity) makes it look so simple, although when I'm breaking, I focus too much on the move I'm currently doing to blend kicks, hops and other creative stuffs in...
How the heck does one pop off the floor like at the 2:13 mark in the video? What is this called and does anyone know of a good site/video that explains how to do it?
How come I only got a hold of this right now?!! This will be crazy helpful for my students to level up their footwork! Big up to Metal and Vincani for sharing this!
This Has Open my life to new possibilities...Thanks so much Loved your personality and battling you guys at Ho down Bgirl Trinity and I. Much love man and God Bless!!!
NTEGRITY and TRINITY!!!! Legends in every cipher and battle! Thanks for the love and I'm sending it right back to ya! Ho-down was like one of my favorite jams ever. What you up to these days?
This is awesome! I'm in south jersey always in Philly and I need to find you guys cause I suck. This drill is great for a beginner like me. I'm 37 and probably too old to start doing this, but I haven't broken anything yet.
Yo tony! If you like, come to our adult classes in center city. Mondays and Fridays 7pm. Let me know if you want more info, or you can email us at hiphopfundamentals@gmail. Peace!
tony espino Loved reading this comment. I used to bboy when I was younger but at 36 adulting happens. If I am ever out and have enough drinks in me it makes me want to break out and top rock. I havent tried full blown bboying again but damn I thought I was the only mid 30s dood that wanted to do it!
tony espino You're only as old ss you treat your body. I'm turning 34 in a month, and I started again after long deliberation on whether it's doable. Keep it realistic. You won't beat Hong 10, or do what you love to watch without work. Some moves you'll never do. But if you have fun doing it, and don't care what closed minded people think, you can have fun and start. But you gotta be somewhat fit, and it's harder with age. Look up the 67 year old bboy from Japan, or the 50 yr old.grom Russia, and more. and forget about age limitations per se. Oh yeah, I have substantial arthritis in my wrist, and I'm strengthening through the dance. If you're serious, and dedicated, it's doable. I'm proof, and there's more proof out there. I have a toddler and an 18 year old. I own a home, travel to NYC for work as a manager, and I live in CT, so believe me, I live an adult life with a lot of responsibilities, and never enough time. I make it for bboying cause I love it. Injuries occur, so go slow, but don't stop. It takes years. As a fellow older community member, I hope you stick with it.
My advice: if you're only a few months or years into breaking, then your body may still be figuring out how to have a pain-free relationship with the floor. That takes time, and the pain should go away eventually as you keep practicing. But, if the pain is unbearable, then you're probably tweaking something in a way that could lead to injury. To me, an important part of Breaking is figuring out what pain is just soreness or 'getting used to' a new kind of movement and what pain could actually lead toward injury. I avoid the injury kind! Peace, Metal
Think about doing a 'criss cross' motion in the back of your 6 step, when you're in a pushup position. Drag your toes a little bit so it kinda 'floats'. You'll get it! - Metal
man that's the most awesome footwork drill I've ever seen!!!

hi i like ur dance vids. i tried to fo the flare but im to scared that i will crack my heaf
u mean the air flare. the regular flare doesn't require u to be upside down.
Start with the basics and then work your way up to the flare. Those take a lot of practice to get so take your time.
good lesson (y)...thank's master 😆
