Hey John, good to see you back. But please, don't lose track of your wedding anniversary. We don't want to see you go full in on Singles day next year. And congrats to you and Mrs.
I've never been a big fan of watches with integrated bracelets, but I know a lot of people like them. Just a personal preference. Great review as always, John! I hope you're feeling better!
It looks great and appears well made, thanks for reviewing. I don't mind the branding, and it's hard to complain about originality as all the Swiss brands in the 70s were busy copying each other anyway 😁
Hi John, I've had nothing but grief from my PT5000 (and this was from Proxima). Returned; ‘fixed’. Stem fell out on first attempt to hack. Want a thin thing? Buckle-up, accept the vibrations, and go 9015.
Sorry to hear that. We all get a bad un now and again and I've only ever had one PT5000 issue on an Addiesdive. It was DOA. I have had a handful of NH35 problems though. So for me the Seiko movement is more problematic.
That's unfortunate, I've had a 3 for 3 excellent experience so far. 2 of them are chronometer-level precision. Both of those from Proxima! PT5000 is not a thin movement, though. It's 4.6mm same as the SW200 or ETA 2824.
Good luck escaping the dog house. Hope you're feeling better now. I'm glad you mentioned the bezel, that misalignment would irritate the hell out of me. Nice looking watch otherwise.
Hope you’re feeling a little better mate. It’s a hell of a watch for the money, and I am surprised at how it fits so well. As for the name and logo, we will see if what their future releases look like. Good watches tend to override bad names. I thought “San Martin” was a ridiculous name when I first got into Chinese Brands. 🤷🏻♂️. Thanks again! (Edit) Happy Anniversary to you and Mrs. JWJ!
Nice looking watch but why choose this over a Makydo that you reviewed they have one with a similar dial and a miyota 9000 movement for about £180 think they offer discounts too, plus bettimer! almost as bad as Berny and Mysterious Code
It's a difficult one. The letter B is difficult to play around with . Bettimer, Baltany and Breitling all suffer as a consequence BUT...the original says G P on the dial which in Britain is widely recognised as your local doctor. You just can't win haha!
If I am not wrong it is similar to the GP laureato which is already inspired in the AP royal oak so I approve this watch 😂
Great review as always 👌🏼👌🏼
🤗
I really like this watch. Im with you that it would be better at 38 mm, but that's my only complaint.
B8002 38mm proves Bettimer listened. Let's see if they make one in future.

Haha. She was good about it. We had a nice meal all set up and had to cancel but we'll reschedule.

All good Dan. Hope you're still enjoying the watch :)
@@johnswatchjoint I wear it all the time! Thanks again my friend! 🍻

...and you nailed it right there!....yet now it is not allowed 😔

Thx for the review : I'd buy it if they removed the Bettimer name from the dial, as they did for their second model
Well spotted. I enjoyed the B8002 review. Hoping they make a 38mm 8001 in future (for less L2L, around 49mm)
The dial is nice. Im not a fan of integrated bracelets.
Also a tad large for me .
Thanks for another grest review and hope youre feeling 100% now
All good 😊
Good luck escaping the dog house. Hope you're feeling better now.

Can you show how to change the bracelet?
It's an integrated bracelet so it would be difficult to find a strap for it. The watch meant to stay on it.
Looks good, but I don't have enough interest in the original watch enough to add this to the list
*non comment* lol
Don't feel too bad about missing your anniversary ... My Dad misses EVERYONE and misses all of our BIRTHDAYS too.

This is a review! 🤗
Love the GP Laureato, but this one...I think the logo ruins it for me.
It's a difficult one. The letter B is difficult to play around with . Bettimer, Baltany and Breitling all suffer as a consequence BUT...the original says
G P on the dial which in Britain is widely recognised as your local doctor. You just can't win haha!
it would look much better without bettimer on the dial
That dial is not great and it’s a deal breaker, the logo at 12 is a bad look. It’s great otherwise.
