Hmm. After the first story, now I wanna hear a story where humans exit their nuclear bunkers, only to find the Earth inhabited by aliens, and for some reason are treated like celebrities...
There was a story like that; forgot the name, but some galaxy-spanning empire wiped out humanity only to suddenly die off themselves 1000 years later due to a genetically engineered version of herpes left in their DNA as a parting gift from humanity. Part 1 had the aliens realizing that they were doomed while Part 2 has archeologists from a different species make the same discovery, which leads to the entire galaxy venerating humans to mythic levels. Unbeknownst to anyone, a hidden bunker contained a small population of human survivors cryogenically preserved until the herpes plague had run its course; they emerged, rebuilt human civilization, and eventually spread out to the stars. The story ends before they find out exactly what the galaxy thinks about them; use your imagination.
Emerging into a convention where aliens are all wearing terrible-looking human costumes all confused by how everyone is commenting on how good their cosplay is would be hilarious.
I think I would choose 1 of 5 songs to go out on: So Long and Thanks for all the Fish - Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy Closing Time - Semisonic The End - They Doors Thank You for the Music - ABBA Show Must Go On - Queen
Story 1 - well if humanity is gone, it's not forgotten with all those fans from around the galaxy. Story 2 - Humans protected as a resource for our fast advancement - wonderful!
Story one: "when does a man die? Is it when he is shot in the head, drinks a poisonous soup, or when he blows himself up with high potency explosives? No! A man dies when he is forgotten." Dr hurlock one piece. Humanity is remembered therefore it is not dead. Story 2: Things are about to get interesting! On a side note you'd think that the quarantine zone would be lined with some sort of warp interdiction field or something else to prevent people from straight up warping into the system.
We did invent horses. We created them through a genetic engineering technique called "selective breeding". Cows are not natural, Dogs are not natural, Most domesticated animals are not natural. (I think chickens are the closest to being natural.)
The first was so sad, melancholic and beautiful in the same time. Most of it, it was centered on something far to often forgotten in HFY story. Art. Well, music in this case. Thanks for the discovery ❤
Both stories are great but second shows that aliens don't have good data on us because we went from horses to basic spacecraft in less than 100 years. Not 500.
Well, we went from Maiden flight to walk on the moon in 66 years by using a computer less powerful than today simple calculator. We aren't particularly smart or strong, simply craziest motherfucker on the planet.
Great stories and quality as always but that for story was sadly beautiful. That's not a terrible legacy to leave though. FTA & THE GREAT AGGRESSIVE TREE RODENT
Humans might be gone, but we will have left our mark upon the universe if at all possible. We would be proud of our legacy being a western saloon. And much more apparently. I'm scared for what would happen if the Xenos realized that our technological advances were boosted by war after war. They may just call extermination upon us.
Even when you are gone and everything you built turns to dust, one thing remains: you were here, that is your legacy. I'm not sure what the right term is for how I feel about the first story, but it does feel good that maybe, when we're finally gone, we will still be remembered.
Oh my man, you can't mispronounce Uranus like urine. There's other ways to mispronounce it if you want to avoid elementary school anus based humor - that "urine us" stuff started in the 70s when astronomers found faint rings around Uranus and reporters intentionally decided to say it wrong.

That would be pretty neat, like suddenly the xenos begin hearing transmissions again as there’s activity on the planet below them

@@terrorcop101 I was thinking of the same story. That was an interesting one.
Archeology has almost that premise. Look it up

We were transmitting 'Never Going To Give You Up' as one last, great troll to the universe.

Inventions: Horses.
We invented those.
yes we did we take full responsibility for the creation of horse everyone knows that, right....
I think it means domesticated wild animals and the invention of animal husbandry.

they are probably referring to when horses and carriages were first "invented"/ used
@@justashitposter9372 Then it's wrong another way arround as it's not 500 but 5000.

Consider that we sat on horses for a long time, and then suddenly shot from horses to cars and then spacecraft REALLY fast.

Really hope the second story has some sort of continuation, it ended too soon IMO

The first story begs a follow up.
Thank you for the reading
I really want to see what kind of Earth theme park aliens would make from only TV and radio transmissions.
a couple of good stories
both worthy of follow-ups
first story: waiting for the aliens to get rick rolled
Rickrolled the galaxy eh?
I'd like to think we went with "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish." either that, or we went out to All-star.
Thank you for the video.
I hope you get well soon agro.
In the first story, a human generation ship arives in sol and hmeveryone there welcomes them back home.
Is it me or did we rickroll the aliens?
